Question is who will the GOP run against him. And I think it will be a jobber most likely.

He successfully executed and figured out every technicality possible without the support of a wealthy family behind him. Which is fine. The only part I ever thought was a bit of a slick Willy dick move was when he actually signed into the ROTC.

Basically he did join the army as a ROTC officer expecting to serve a term of service. As he had exhausted all other means to avoid being drafted. The second the lottery comes out and he runs the numbers, he realizes the odds of the lottery are heavily in his favor and he is very unlikely to be drafted this way. So he does some bullshit to rescind his ROTC papers.
