Just WHO is Youtube meant to at this point? The only reason its still popular is lack of an option good enough on the technical level and the fact that migrating to said other options would be a lot of a hassle since many are deeply rooted in Youtube one way or the other.

Feels like today its just "TV The Google App"

Does anyone also have a problem of videos straight up showing itself on the more video tabs (along with the recommended videos repeating itself) I tried clearing my cache but it is a account problem I think.

You gotta understand youtube cant fix bugs, rearranging the UI everyday is necessary instead

I fucking knew this would happen. I knew that the moment Brave said no, they started to work day and night to block access to videos from other browsers that aren't chrome or at least have in built adblockers.

Fuck youtube and fuck Google even harder, man...this is fucked.

Yes, I am mad and honestly, so should anyone seeing this.

I love having to sift through my recent watch history to figure out which video made me suddenly start getting shit like Quinton and Eric Taxxon on the front page only to realize that it's probably none of them.

Youtube pushes shorts because that's what the young audiences like.

Kids will just jump to shorts as soon as they go to youtube.

You're not the target customer, old man. Just roll over and die, so that the young ones can enjoy the platform.

Brave native ad-blocking was broken this morning on Youtube. I downloaded ublock origin in addition to this (?) and it appears to be working now. I see comments on ublock origins page that ublock is broken just from today, so I dont know if they pushed a new update or the browser plus ublock in tandem are able to get around youtubes latest changes.

I mostly click stuff from the homepage recommendations. but sometimes i truly have no idea why some things show up there. This whole week i just get a bunch of Guilty Gear character clips and Jojo's Bizarre adventure related content, i haven't searched or watched anything related to either, i don't play Guilty Gear, i don't care about jojo's, i feel the algorithm is not really basing its recommendations on my interests so much as trying to manipulate me into becoming interested in these franchises that i don't currently give a shit about.

I honestly want to ween of the site, its the only other site i spend considerable time on because i got used to background noise when working on the PC. but i just get mad now browsing the site and it just feels bad. I realized there's only a handful of channels i like and they aren't very big or post frequently at all, sometimes i see stuff thats really popular with millions of views and i simply can't wrap my ahead around it, i don't understand what kind of retard gorilla nigger watches the kind of crap that makes it truly big on youtube.

Youtube updated something last night that made blocking with UBlock not work. I purged my filter list and updated them and it works fine now.

I get targeted content for traveling and alcohol despite looking up neither, if I had to guess I'm getting profiled as a young adult male, and they are reccommending things based on that

What I'm saying though is that I couldn't watch anything with just Brave. At first every video would give an unplayable error, then it changed to playing an ad and never loading anything else regardless of backing out or reloading. Every video was just a single ad and then it would end. After adding ublock onto Brave, everything works like normal, no ads, loads fast, etc.
