Little off topic, but Japanese is actually a neat language that I really like. Wanted to learn it because I wanted to play the original Jap versions because of shit like this, but now I'm just straight up interested. Their game shows are entertaining too.>Be American
>Spend thousands of hours learning Japanese
>Make a career intentionally misinterpreting cultural translations to further your suicidal political ideology
Actually in the process of learning Japanese (I want to read the Japanese Lolcow thread, leave me alone), and one of the first things you learn is that the language can get real loose with words (San being able to be translated as Mr. or Ms. depending on the context) and that different genders often use different pronouns to describe themselves to the world, and that sometimes a girl might use masculine pronouns to come across as tougher or more tomboyish where as a boy might use feminine pronouns to come across that way.
But lets take advantage of the fact that most Americans do not care to learn any language beyond English and take advantage of the missing context here to make something fake and gay.
Apathy is the fastest way to lose the culture war.I really don't care to be honest. Trannies are dumb and I don't want them in my game, but if it's like 2 lines of dialogue in a poor localization in an era where bad tranny localization seems to be the norm then I can live with it.
For emulation you need to 'acquire' system keys and an NSP or XCI of the game using LockpickRCM and NXDumpTool, or just find them online its not hard, and to mod them you can use LayeredFS built into Atmosphere on a modded Switch, or use the equivalent for the emulator which have their own game mod folders, at least I know Ryujinx does, I don't use Yuzu. How difficult is it to emulate / mod switch games (the roms of which I own of course)?
I don't know if you can call this a war if it's just a bunch of people causing arguments in places that originally had none, and their opposition is just normal people who'd like everything to go back to how it was prior to the habitual arguers showing up. Pic unrelatedApathy is the fastest way to lose the culture war.
I think there’s people who think this is all retarded because why does it matter if some kid’s game gets rewritten to have a heckin valid tranny in it? The people who push this shit cheer on toddler rapist trans-activists. I don’t scoff at “reactionaries” for hating it, even if the character was a cross dresser. You forgot the most important bit. Obnoxious, loud, destructive and litigious
It's not enough to complain. You need to want to hurt these corporations by any tool at your disposal.
Malicious compliance, review bombing and boycots are all well and good, but you also need to sue them when they break contracts or engage in anti consumer practices.
The problem is there's a marked difference between making a game like Life is Strange or Celeste and editing a line of dialogue to make a character who was always gender confused in the original version to change it from "man who thinks he is a woman" to "trans (man who thinks he is a woman)"Apathy is the fastest way to lose the culture war.
Why wouldn't it beyou know what? all this doom posting about the game makes me wanna play it. is it fine just to emulate the original game?
I genuinely do not know where the fuck this idea started. I know why they're pushing it but it's like people can't read context.
I'm not sorry, I'm jubilant.Sorry this happened to you, Mariobros. I don't play nintendo products because they're is aggressively anti-consumer but I know many consider their games good.
It's fine to enjoy leisure, but typically as one ages their mind and thoughts become more complex and demand more from what they consume. It IS odd for a grown 30 year old man or so to derive pure, childlike pleasure from a game like paper Mario TYD, it's written for children and is not a challenging game in the slightest.
