Couldn't agree more. I finally got off my ass about emulation this year and there are so many amazing games that you can just
have. Between Vimm's Lair and the Internet Archive, I've got more games than I'll ever have time to play. Handheld systems, consoles and especially the arcade bangers like Rampage.
RetroArch is free on steam and there's a good selection of emulator cores available as DLC (also free). When I wasn't sure or couldn't find a LibRetro core for the system I wanted, like Dreamcast or PS2, I just grabbed a standalone emulator from Vimm's Lair. I haven't had to fuck with hunting for console-specific bios files or anything. So far the most work I've had to do was manually mapping my usb gamepad to use in Dolphin so that I can enjoy un-pozzed TTYD.
