This is definitely a publisher book tour - the "in conversation" style is a sign. The fact that she's hitting a few markets before doing three in California is hilarious, they know she can't get booked elsewhere. She can't even get more than one East Coast date and that's Brooklyn.

There's a real sense of desperation to this. I assume the future dates might not happen if these first ones don't sell. The replies are all from foreign countries saying they can't come which is a great sign!

This is actually a real test of her pull as... well not a writer, but as a lol cow and past her sell by date web celebrity.

Most publishers will book signings, but authors have to pay for travel, food, lodgings, etc. Thanks for the Simp bucks Patreon!

I'd love to see if she can pull off the dreaded "nobody showed up to my signing". Would she bury that, or post a pic for sympathy as other authors have done?

That seems a bit backwards. I guess it’s not like a convention appearance then.

Travel costs are expensive, and most authors never sell enough books to justify the publisher paying for them. If you aren't an A-lister or money maker, publisher will pay for promo materials and such, but beyond that? You're on your own.

Which is where Lindsay making 8k a month for producing 1 video a year probably comes in pretty handy.

Like many a glorified housewife before her, she has discovered being rich can buy the illusion she is gainfully employed and successful.

She's always been lying about her numbers and popularity, to the point where her simps will bury anyone who points out the books sold terribly and are now relegated to the discount bin. We'll probably get a few posts about how great the signing was, but no photos to accompany them.

I wonder if she's even earned enough to pay back her advance for just one of the books thus far.

It's truly fascinating to see how all of them peaked as Internet Reviewers. Lindsay sincerely believed complaining about movies made for children was just a stepping stone for her sucess in Holywood.

Turns out bitching about animated movies and creating something of value are two different things. And writting a book requires actual talent she completely lacks. Her books are terrible even by fanfic standards.

She might feign being smug all she wants, but I am sure behind doors the truth must have hit her like a truck. She is only somewhat relevant because of Doug, and her breadtube simps are the only ones that still remember her. And even them couldn't care less about her books or her work outside youtube.

Lindsay’s ego really did her in. She could have just self published or went through a no name, and have it just as a point of pride to say she published something, or have it be like here Twilight/50 Shades of Grey/Cuthulu story where it’s somewhere between a shitpost and an inside joke amongst her friends and fans. But no, she went to the first big name publisher that showed interest because she wants the rights to be sold at the first time of asking, and all the press buzz that comes with this sale. Along with hobnobbing with like minded people in the intellectual space.
