• Child Care workers (Child Care Center Staff, Family child care providers)
• Education Workers (Teachers, School Admin, other staff, etc)
• Others: LEOs, probation services staff, clergy, youth program staff, guardians "ad item"

It's interesting that the report was made directly to the cops, because apparently that should only be done if the child is either in direct physical danger, or if the offender works at a private school or is a non-family caretaker. Mandated reporters are mandated to report. It’s a lower bar than it might look, though. Seeing a Nick stream could do the trick, and it could be basically anyone who draws a check from the taxpayer or is covered by your insurance

The only caution I would give here is that someone might have summarized their police report as "Mandatory reporting" because they have a colloquial idea that's what it is when you report child abuse, or deliberately misrepresented themselves in making the report. I don't know if the reporter or the officer taking the report comes up with that little summary (EDIT: On reflection I realize it was in first person so that has to be a statement made by the reporter). I lean towards it being a genuine mandatory reporter.
