No. Nick tried to object to that under undue burden/the 8th amendment (someone more law savvy can explain why people have been laughing at that, maybe it’s because Nick has a trust fund and has a 25+ gram coke habit) but the Judge stayed it.

Edit: they released Kayla on her own recognizance just now but I missed it, did they release Nick? I assume so because of bail but idk I’m not a lawyer

Yes, but his lawlizard former friends on stream are confused because the court phrased it like '$50k and unconditional' and 'conditional with drug testing, no alcohol and the firearm restrictions'. As a non-lawlizard I assume both are applied and its just how the judges phrase it in Nick's locality.

I'm confused by that wording too, but the "conditional" sounded like normal conditions of release. You're generally not released on bond with "it's okay if you take drugs and commit crimes" as your conditions of release.

For a lot of people it would be. I've known addicts where the first time they saw a courtroom it was enough of a wake up call. I've known others where finally getting hit for mistreating their kids was enough to rattle them loose of their addiction.
Strongly doubt it in Nick's case though. He's way too egotistical and self-assured. Having a built-in audience of sycophants to fluff his ego only compounds that problem.

I don't think it's high for a second degree drug possession felony charge. I've seen 12k for a dui with child endangerment (kids in car), and a dui is way less than that level of felony.
