So basically he was still totally okay with his kid getting injured or killed from a door in the face. So long as he got a personal advantage out of it.
I can totally envision how an injury to the child could also be seen as an advantage in Nick's mind.

I keep forgetting to mention that there is no way in hell these two junkies were making sure kids are always where their schedules demand them to be. These kids were missing classes regularly (teaching them to be irresponsible like their parents) and I'm willing to bet on it. If/when some social services take a closer look at the conditions their children were living in, they will find out that kids are behind in school, or with pediatrician, probably skipping meals regularly, and are burdened with chores not appropriate for their age.

It's 5 of them, and at least 1 will have clear signs of behavioral issues, possibly all of them. 6 months is a LONG FUCKING TIME for 6 year old. It's long even for 16 year old. Idk when they stopped providing adequate care to their kids, maybe 4 years ago, maybe half a year ago, regardless, it will show on the kids. Kids with longer memory of normality will have better prognosis to return to baseline if proper conditions are provided. 6 year old who doesn't really remember the life before coked up parents and filthy house will need seriously strict environment for a long period of time to "overwrite" known normal with actual normal.

Performing at an optimal level as a parent of 5 kids is demanding for most sober high functioning people, let alone a pair of dysfunctional junkies. Their starting point had so many advantages it's unreal. Most parents of 5 have no choice but to actually work full time. These two never bothered with that so that automatically made parenting a TON easier than average people have it.

Oh and just 'cos I haven't already say it explicitly, I simp for neither of them, they are both equally awful. I wish both of them to SUFFER and to watch the other one die of overdose if at all possible. That would be perfect.

Everyone seems to forget that cops are allowed to lie. They can, and do, lie to coerce various types of case-making confessions ("we know what you did so fess up to cut a deal") and consent-establishing searches ("the warrant is on the way but it'll look better if you let us get started"). That's just in normal everyday cases, too, before you factor in Nick's internet (in)famous status which could pretty easily bring crazy people playing make believe as cops to his door step.

We do not have a minute-by-minute timeline of what appears to be a very hasty use of force. We do not have body cam footage. Hell, we don't even have Nick's coked-out recounting of events.

The description given in the probable cause document does not establish that the police had contact with anyone at the house beyond the minor child before ramming the door.

That same document does suggest Nick was not shown a valid warrant prior to arriving on scene, by which point the door was already busted down.

If no adult on scene (meaning Kayla or possibly even April) had made contact with the cops to be shown the warrant, and Nick himself hadn't yet been shown the warrant, then it is absolutely the correct thing to do to refuse entry in what is probably a grand total of 5 very chaotic minutes.
the police being able to lie is not the same as faking or pretending to have a warrant to gain entry, which they cannot legally do. They also can't command someone to do something and then claim a consent search (i.e. if they actually order someone to open a door, they need the same legal authority as if they kicked it in). And you can bet this shit was recorded because they knew this was going to be a shitshow, though I doubt we'll get to see it.

Not like any of this matters except as academic arguments- Nick knew damn well that they had a warrant. He wasn't trying to maintain the issue for evidence exclusion. He wasn't taking a stand (he'll pretend he was). He was just trying to buy time to have cracked up mommy and side-hoe flush the drugs. Which they didn't even manage to do (lol).

That combined with the eye shape, it looks like something from a horror film. lol

Catching up after all day at work so pardon my lateness in responding to this particular post...

But holy shit those empty black eyes.

he also blamed the pastor for ratting out Nick, said it wasn't his concern, then people on chat said it was mandatory for the pastor to call the cops and he used his legalese talk to imply the pastor should've kept quiet, after that the chat told him about the kids and if them being in danger was enough for him to give the pastor a pass and Uncivil just replied that he knows Nick personally and he is his friend, and that maybe chat was correct to care about the kids, but he cares more abou Nick.
This actually blows my mind a bit. How can you say you care about Nick if you don't care about his kids? Nicks wellbeing is obviously mostly tied into how well his kids are doing. All jokes aside, Nicks path to recovery ( if he decides to take it ) largely depends on whether or not he is allowed to regain custody of his children and is able to stay out of jail to take care of them. If he doesn't then its 100% over for Nick.

It's hard to express into words but there's something deeply unsettling about Uncivils "People should've let the child abuse go on and the real issue here is that Nick didn't talk to me about the sex and drugs" stance. Whats even weirder to me is that he is such a doormat towards him while its obvious Nick doesn't respect Uncivil and looks down on him. He wasn't told about the sex and drugs because Nick doesn't vieuw him as his peer.

I agree it's not 100% clear, but I don't know if it makes a difference. They had a warrant. Nick had every reason to believe they had a warrant, even if it wasn't physically shown to him before busting down the door. He didn't want to give them the door code. If the kids were traumatized by them making a dynamic entry, I blame Nick being an asshole because his ego comes before everybody and everything else.

That's just my opinion.
the bigger question is what was on the search warrant. kurt made this point last night and i think it's solid (regardless of whatever else people feel about him).

i think it's safe to assume that they had a warrant to knock down the door and look for drugs, but if there's any defending nick at this point, that's the point in the process that needs to be scrutinized. how did this turn from a child endangerment case into a drug bust? what was on that search warrant and what was the probable cause?

"Kiwis are the niggers of the Internet." John Lennon maybe
Kiwi is nigger of the Web
Yes he is
Think about it
Kiwi is nigger of the Web
Think about it
Do something about it

We mention him whenever we get the chance
If he won't be a slave, we say he's not like us
If he's real, we say that trannies aren't men
While putting him down we pretend he's above us

Kiwi is the nigger of the Web
Yes he is
If you don't believe me
Just ask any journalist
Kiwi is the chud of the chuds
Oh, yeah, better scream about it

We blame him for every dead trans
And then we say that he's irrelevant and ignorant
We accuse his website of being full of CP
As we encourage children to cut off their pee pees

Kiwi is the nigger of the Web
Yes he is
If you don't believe me, ask what he's dealt with
Kiwi is the chud of the chuds
Yeah, alright

We insult him every day on TV
And we say he's a goddamn terrorist
When he's young we kill his will to be free
We dox him, we DDoS him, we put him in lists for being
So evil

Kiwi is the nigger of the Web
Yes he is
If you don't believe me, just look at the lawsuits
Kiwi is the chud of the chuds
Yes he is
If you don't believe me, you better seethe about it

We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance
We mention him whenever we get the chance

Nick snitching to the cops on drug dealers is a hilarious thought though, it goes directly against all his lolbert hedonism beliefs.
Nick has no beliefs other than "what benefits Nick"
He may claim principles, but no man with principles or morals would put getting high and getting his dick Balldo wet before his 5 kids.
Nicks a piece of shit.

The weird thing is Nick has two possible futures

1) 48 month stayed sentence in which he can't stream drunk, take drugs etc. His law license is suspended. He uses this as a wake up call, stops drinking and taking drugs, and the law license suspension ends.

2) As above but he claims it's all BS and gradually backslides back into booze and coke streaming and ends up back in court

Now after 1) he goes back to being the upstanding member of society he was at the start of the thread.

With 2) His wife will probably leave him and take the kids and the hos will smell he's cold product. His law license stays suspended or just gets pulled

Now it's pretty obvious which of these in his long term best interests. As you say though, he's much more likely to fuck it up. Not to mention if it looks like he's taking option 1) Dax and Vito will invite him out to party just so they can continue to milk him for content.
The first scenario implies that Nick actually gives a shit about his law license. He clearly doesn't. His own bail hearing was his first client in how many years?

I think she might just be stupid. Like a weak woman and mother who ideally needs her mother and mother-in-law twenty minutes away in case she fucks up.

The open relationship is something that I think she was too retarded and pilled out to suggest if her own mind. I still think she enabled him, but she just seems like a retard who probably shouldn’t of had those kids.
i think she's just a normal woman who expected a normal life from her normal husband
and that's mostly what she got until he accidentally got famous. he couldn't handle the fame so it put him on a downward spiral, and she couldn't handle his self destruction so she went down with the sinking ship.

'Your honor, I'd like to correct the record. My clients are clearly retarded nigger cunt faggots.'

"Your honour, I would like to bring the court's attention to a fact that seems suspiciously absent in this case, one that would threaten to blow it wide open and, if I'm honest, change criminal law forever."
"Uh okay, I'll allow it."
"Isn't it funny and weird that Stephen Hawking, by all accounts a smart and successful man, couldn't walk? I neglected all my five kids and they still figured it out, but he couldn't take five minutes away from sciencing to learn? What a moron! Heyooooo."

maybe the report didn't have all the details, but for some reason the picture I had in my mind was:
- Nick is outside
- Police knocks the door and a kid answers, but won't open
- Nick appears, already outside and demands a warrant
- Police gives a warrant and ask for the door code
- Nick throws the warrant on the floor and won't give the code (he probably did the classic "I'm not going to do your job for you" bit, without thinking on how this could affect the kids
- Police busts in
That was the whole picture in my mind when I read the report.

I still see a bunch of idiots who incorrectly claim the Farms reported the crime. We didn't!
People are still saying Steel Toe reported Nick to the cops too lol.

Mental midgets always need everything always fucking spoonfed to them and anyway his kids were definitely endangered! The mandatory reporter did the right thing. Nick and his wife are ghouls from Fallout! They have coke and guns just laying around. There is no way that the kids were being looked after.

Does anyone else get the feeling Kurt is mostly just upset that Nick didn't involve him with the partying and swinging? Kurt sounds like he really doesn't care about the situation Nicks kids were put in by the way he hates the Pastor and whinges about being lied to while running defense for Nick.
This. He talked about going to Nicks house two years ago at least 3 times like a badge of honor. Very odd.
