"A little cooking left" implies it's not finished or you're changing something at the last time. Many subreddit comments on how Brandon said that episode was finished back in january so thats weird.

Anyways, what what are yall's theories for the episode?

Mine is like this but half ironically
I don't want to predict anything, I just want those fags to KILL THEMSELVES. (By fags I mean those demons. Fags.)

People acting like this is such a big and emotional moment in these two's relationship, when they barely had a relationship to begin with. I'll never understand how people got invested into this...I mean I know why and how, but I still don't understand.

I love people are like "Stolas and blitzo are going to break up oh no!" and it's like, bruh these two were never "together" in the first place. You know it's bad when vivzie has to gaslight us by having blitzo tell Fizz that Stolas is tooootally nice to him offscreen, because season 1 was literally prostitution and season 2 is one sided Stolas angst.

But, to be serious for a moment, I suppose it's gonna be related to the crystal since even the recent merch advertisement a few days ago showed a clip of that imp servant giving Stolas the Asmodeus Crystal. Which I still do not get about since it was shown in S1E6 that he didn't even need the Grimoire to go to the human world, so that crystal should've been something he could've gave to Blitzo LONG flippin' ago, or was THAT another NON-CANON thing, Vivzie?

I'll go on a limb and say the crystal was something vivzie made up later. It's not a "retcon" but season 1 blitzo talked like deep inside he felt humiliated to be a prostitute but had no other choice. He tells striker that Stolas is "his easiest ticket to earth" but stealing from royalty should be way harder and risky than finding one of those crystals.

This makes Blitzo look retarded in hindsight. And dont tell me "maybe it would be impossible for Blitzo to get a crystal!" because his sister got one so it shouldnt be THAT hard.

I'm suprised how this show is still going even though it pretty much has strayed away from its original concept 100%. It feels like all this melodrama shit is just a way for vivzypop to keep the show relevant in the public consciousness.

I can't wait for when everyone looks back at this show in 10 years in utter embarrassment for how shit it became.

I can already picture the thumbnail of the "What Happened" video essay in my mind's eye.

If they do this, they need to feature both a rapid fire progression of pictures showing how fat Vivz gets over time, and when featuring a particular episode of a show, put something in a corner of the screen showing how fat she was at the time of its release.

I'm also calling Vivz as a future deathfat now.

That also adds another question. How did Barbie Wire get an Asmodeus Crystal? Where did she get it? It looks like a pretty important magical piece so I know she didn't just casually get it. Of course, that'll never get explained, so I don't know what I'm saying.

That's kind of the thing. This show wouldn't have nearly gotten as popular as it got if she didn't blast that Stoliz ship left and right. Most people came for a unique premise, not for the Hell equivalent of a Hallmark movie. The show won't be remembered for its said unique premise, characters, writing, or worldbuilding. It'll just be remembered as The Stolas Show and a show that's a teenager's backwards view on what a "mature" story is, which sucks a lot since just like Hazbin Hotel, it had a really great introduction and concept but was executed in the worst ways possible that could never be recovered.

All we can do now is just watch and see it delve further into more "angst" and trauma-dumping.

I'm thinking maybe this is a semi-obsure reference to something of Rudyard Kipling, but it's hard to tell. Sounds like it's not very well integrated into the overall setting. If I actually watched either of the shows maybe I'd be invested enough to track it down.
I watch every episode, I constantly look through the world buildings and characters and just deconstructing a lot of things that just either mildly irritate me to absolutely making me MATI. I guess one example of me being mildly irritated as something is the inconsistency of this supposed "traveling" in between planets/rings.

Yes, you heard me.

The seven rings of Hell are planets/rings. Not areas. They're entirely different regions of places that you have to do interplanetary travel to get to, which only makes Hazbin Hotel's premise even more conflicting and gives an even bigger justification to the sinners making fun of Charlie's unrealistic goals in the pilot and Adam criticizing Charlie's ridiculous idea in the official series.

If we also account to how many sinners would probably drop to Hell each day, it's essentially just a second Earth atp, no? And we know that OUR Earth deals with overpopulation, so how can overpopulation be handled in Hell? A mere HOTEL's not gonna fix that, come on!

And for HB, how does the only accessible way to traverse through the world, aka Elevator 666, even works? Where's it even located?? It works like an elevator as said but looking through the screenshots I took, where does it go? How does it travel? In the wiki where it brings up the "Rings of Hell", they're [hypothetically] stacked on top of each other (despite claims say they aren't, but let's just pretend they are).

That's actually how Dante Alighieri depicted the spheres of Heaven, as planets. Some have even theorized that his description of how Heaven works being an early description of beyond 3-dimensional space, a hypercube.

Whereas Dante depicted hell as simply a deep pit in the ground lined with nine terraces, each of them circles. One of the reasons why Inferno is better known than parts 2 and 3 of the Divine Comedy is because his description of hell is easier to comprehend than either Purgatory or Heaven.

Now I REALLY wonder if Vivzie actually read Dante and is just mangling it badly, but then I'd be giving her undue credit.

For some reason, I'm thinking of the first Disgaea game, where hell (or the netherworld) also isn't a realm, but a planet or world, and there's other planets including Earth. They (demons) mock the humans for not knowing this. It was very popular with lolrandom girls in the early naughties, maybe Vivz was inspired by it?

That's what happens when you don't plan your shit out. Or at least look back on what you written beforehand. Remember how much of a big deal it was if it ever got revealed that I.M.P. was going up to Earth. Well, I guess it doesn't matter too much since one of the deadly sins is literally giving away his portal crystal to someone so he can give it to one of the lowest classes in Hell.

Honestly, they need to stop writing these big supposed reveals that then aren't that big of a deal. It's impressive that Blitzø started his own company, except it isn't since Moxxie's dad is running an entire mafia, and can just kidnap one of the supposed most powerful beings' boyfriend without getting utterly destroyed in the end. Don't forget that Stolas and Blitzø's relationship is considered taboo except not really since two beings who are on an even higher ranking than Stolas are dating the lowest of classes. I suppose that will be brought up in that one episode with the court scene or whatever, but I'm sure it won't really matter in the grander scheme of things.

Damn, Helluva Boss is really a fanfiction story online. Post a chapter online, wait a week before you write the next chapter, and never look back on what you wrote. You vaguely remember what it was about, but it's not really important if you stay consistent because you're just trying to appease the horny fans who don't care if it makes sense or not. And just rinse and repeat.

I turned on my embeds again, and what the hell is this?

Does this guy have an ?Angel?-Sona? It's got the cross armed glare down at least.

Are you talking about the one in the middle? That’s just Lute, and the guy on the left is Adam and the one on the right appears to be Count Dooku.
Baylan Skoll, actually. But yeah, all that's just character fanart that he used for his videos.

6 episodes into Helluva Boss Season 1. I wonder how many people got paid for their contributions and how many weren't.

The internet treats "villain of the week" in media like it's a bad thing, but it's exactly what Helluva needed and was essentially supposed to be. It's also a good formula for people who aren't complete manchildren, they can start and stop watching whenever. It's the equivalent of a JRPG with modern, quality of life features compared to a western RPG from the mid-80's.

Easier to write, and we all know just how great Viv is at writing and world building.

I blame the mentality that communities like TV Tropes popularized that made people feel like tropes are a bad thing that only dum-dums use, and that every story needs to be a genre-defining, wholly original and non-formulaic work.

I think the thing that gets me about Helluva is that up to episode 7, the show was pretty episodic that only gave small bits of character depth that was actually interesting. Hell at the time, Episode 7 was at least fun and the episode meant to be after it was just a decent follow up (shame about Episode 8's schedule).

But then the show becomes more of an overarching story about a soap opera and the comedy elements quickly dwindle to nothing. Even if it's not connected, the show is clearly more about solving these characters personal issues.

The fact it was something better at first makes Helluva's downfall more infuriating than from Hazbin's pilot to Amazon Series fall since it straight up went for a more serialized story right away than showing us something good to then take it away.
