While Aaron is not reliable, it's like not you need someone 100% reliable to a jury to convince a jury. They can assume the basics of his story is true because he is consistent (seems like Aaron has notes and is rehearsing this) and any issues are based on Aaron trying to save face, not seem as much of a cuck, and was high/drunk at the time. If Nick and/or Kayla don't remember what happened and neither are testifying, then there is nothing on the defense side to dispute Aaron's story even if it has holes. Most witnesses in trials where one person breaks from a group doing illegal activities are like this.

The combination of alcohol and cocaine is EXTREMELY bad. They combine in the bloodstream to form cocethylene, among other things, an incredibly toxic substance. This combo has led to many premature deaths. The worst part of it is the cocaine can actually to some extent counteract a fatal overdose of alcohol, and since the cocaine wears off first, someone can go to the point of severe alcohol poisoning, but only his the fatal breath stopping part of it while already unconscious.

It's not made to pharmaceutical lab standards either so who knows what's actually in the cocaine you are snorting, smoking and/or injecting. Another issue is what it's cut with. Some years back in NYC people were ending up in the ER because coke and heroin were being cut with a cheap TB drug and they overdosed from that and went into respiratory arrest and had other bad side effects.

I dont think Nick got the good stuff. people speculating the sores on his arm are from either injections or toxicity wounds from fentanyl laced coke. also Nick dissociates a lot which could be alcohol induced, but I think it's the dirty coke.
