We have nine or ten officers on the ground, two or so hours of footage minimum, that's at least 20 hours just to watch them, plus whatever they have to do to privacy/redact. 50/60 hours is entirely reasonable. Even just doing a top & tail tightening or removing dead air can take 3-4x the length of the clip you're working with.

This is not a "drag files from storage onto a CD" type request.

It's also a pain in the ass to blur stuff out, at least with my knowledge in Premiere. Maybe they have access to specialized software with amazing face recognition capabilities, but whenever there's a lot of movement, you basically have to go frame by frame to make sure it's done right and the tracking doesn't sperg out on you and leave half of the face uncovered.
But like I said, this is with limited experience on my end, so who knows what the pros do and how efficient they can be.

You can rate me optimistic for this, but there's a few factors that might allow for a redemption arc. Not that it will happen, not that it's likely, but it's possible.

Doubt. As for 1&5 there’s little reason to believe this. Wouldn’t at all be surprised if he’s high right now having a good time with throat GOAT April.

2: Nick is likely unbreakable. We’re not talking about a 20 or even 30 year old. The guy has lived close to half a century being convinced that he can do no wrong, and everyone else are morons.

3: Look beyond the coke my guy. He’s been drinking like a fish for years, and living as a degenerate for at least two.

4: With the trustfund he likely has no reason for changing. His parents are degens himself, and I doubt they’d leave him penniless.

Hell, streaming probably would be very good for his recovery post rehab. He could do a whole recovery series detailing his sobriety journey. It would be very therapeutic for him.

If the man had humility maybe. But at his age, it’s not something you just get. His brain is likely too fried from all the liquor for Nick to ever stream like before. And as other people have said. Streaming is part of his abuse habit. He been drinking for years while streaming.

Um the big one you're missing out on is Nick himself and his personality disorder.
I know it's very popular these days to see people as cattle, that as long as you provide the right conditions, they will go the way you want them to go. I just don't see it this way, I think he's a broken man who learned for years how to take pleasure from having power and from being able to manipulate others.
Like, there are synapses in his brain, there are connections, that have been built over years now, to enable him to feel pleasure from "winning" over others.
The fact that this horrifically traumatic experience did not break him apart, is making me think that those synapses are still there. He feels happy when he can fool people into thinking he's right. It's super important for him. More important than having happy children close to him.

It is absolutely possible to change that. But it takes some serious humbling combined with the ability to see own mistakes and the willingness to change.
Whatever punishment he's gonna receive, it will not be 25 years in prison, getting mutt law'ed in shower on daily. It will be a gentle thing, designed to help normal people who got a bit lost but can still recover quickly. A little shake up, that any normal person would take to heart and treat as rock bottom. But Nick is not that person imho. There is nothing about his behavior prior to the arrest, and especially after, that makes me think he's got a chance to learn from it and grow up.
