I’m not mad that a sole 16 year old can’t take care of his 4 other siblings.
I’m just surprised that none of them can seemingly take care of themselves in any kind of way.

It shows how shitty of parents the Rekietas are. The house is a trash heep so none of them can clean up after themselves, there’s dirty laundry lying on the floor so none of the can fold it and put it away. At one point they had to have Aaron’s cuck ass cook them all spaghettios. so none of them can cook anything in any way. When I was 10, I could make my own spaghettio’s.

Hell Aaron had to clean a little hovel of a table and couch so he could put stuff down and sit. These kids are so dependent they can’t be bothered to clean a space so they can sit, even if the current situation is uncomfortable.
I'm going to push back on the kids, one being as young as 6, being expected to have pride enough to keep the entire house clean when their own parents don't even care. You're not just expecting 6-16 year olds to take pride in cleaning up after themselves despite no adult role-models, which is already a stretch, but you're expecting them to in addition clean up after their parents.

It's patently ridiculous and anyone even starting to go down this route remembers damn well what it's like to be a literal child but are choosing to view it from an adult perspective without consideration for the surrounding environment.

This goes back to how shitty of parents the rekietas are, not that the kids are bad. A 16 year old can’t cook for himself, can’t do laundry, can’t clean after himself. That’s just a patented failure of parenting. Also aren’t 3 of the kids above the age of 10. So 3 kids 10 and up literally cannot clean after themselves. You literally teach your kids to clean up after themselves before they hit 10.

Man it’s been established the @FROG Ethan Van Shyster is a piece of shit in the comicsgate thread but holy hell this is retarded. According to him how dare the oldest not step up and take care of the other 4 kids of the Cokieta’s, while they’re in the bedroom fucking the neighbors and doing blow.

It's not as simple as "they don't know how to do laundry." The parents in these scenarios actively and passively discourage it. Even if you know how to do laundry, want to do laundry, and have the detergent and laundry baskets, if your crackhead parents are physically abusing each other then it's in your best interests to steer clear and wear dirty clothes for a day.

I don't know that we can judge the children for not being equipped to handle their once loving millionaire mansion with a live-in nanny turning into a lawless crackhouse where you have to sink or swim. Most of the kids are closer in age to the youngest than the oldest too. At some point, you don't want to because it's demoralizing and it'd be that way for an adult, let alone a couple teens and a few children.

They took Nick's kids for a reason. I feel no empathy for Nick. He was literally terrorizing those kids. They were going unfed, unwashed, living in fear of what the drug fueled and highly explosive and erratics adults around them would do. The kids were damaged far less being taken away from Nick then they were being (not) cared for by Nick. The only reason Nick is complaining about it is the State took something that was Nicks. They took HIS kids. Its all about him. They are otherwise just small smelly needy pieces of furniture in his coke and booze baked brain.

If Nick wants his kids back he will go check himself into a locked ward rehab program for 2 months.

Until then the only empathy I feel is for the kids themselves. They've been dealt a shitty hand in this.
But, he doesn't even care his kids are gone.

I held hope that this would be the turning point. He wouldn't have gave a damn about conditions of release, if he cared his kids are gone. Those conditions only followed along with what CPS would require. They literally give an extra incentive to straighten up. The difference is that CPS can't arrest you for violating. They just take your rights. He is doomed.

He has already been to court once about the kids. Hearing had to be done within 72 hours, according to Minnesota law. He may already had the hearing that must be done within 10 days.

How far QuarterPounder has truly come. If only he could drop 50lbs and stop looking like a homeless alcoholic.....wait minute...

I like to imagine their 16 year old cleaning going something like this:

Kid: Dad....Dad, come on. Move your fucking legs. I need to vacuum under the couch to get all the cocaine out from the carpet.

Nick: jahdhusjsnsn......whiskey review....

Kid: No more whiskey review dad. Work isn't until later.

Nick: can't tell me what to do.....Kayla tell your bitch kid....to be a.....bitch...

Kayla: uhh.. Let Mommy sleep. Uncle Aaron did anal last night...

Kid: FFS mom did you at least tell him not to go ass to mouth again? We're out of toothbrushes and mouthwash.

Kayla: go....feed.....sister

Kid: Ugh....fine I'll make Sylvia some spaghettios after I clean your coke scale.

Nick: DON'T FUCKING TOUCH MY COKE SCALE I NEED IT FOR MIXING WITH GUNPOWDER

Kid: Dad if you don't fucking let me clean around here, one day you're going to get arrested for all these drugs!

Nick: Shut up you Scandinavian prude...

April: lol....prude...

Kid: Fuck this. Pass the coke pipe.

I need to write for Broadway.

'yes I am actually very okay with being held accountable. I want to prove to you that I've been clean and i take it seriously. I will GLADLY take a piss test on regular. I will GLADLY report myself via phone or in person. I CAN'T WAIT to show you how wrong you were about me'

vs.

'Here's your fucking 5k, i'm off to snort some more blow and fuck hookers buh bye'

If ethan was raised as a morman...I'm wondering if he too came from a large family. Mormons are notorious for having lots of kids and the older kids almost always are a pseudo parent to the other kids. Currently in Utah and the Mormon kids here definitely are different in that regard. Not defending his statement because that's definitely NOT the norm.

If Nick and Kayla were actively discouraging it, why did they allow Aaron to clean up a little hovel of a table and a couch. Why did they allow Aaron to cook them spaghettio’s. It seems that Nick and Kayla didn’t give a fuck and never taught their kids to do anything themselves. So you’ve got a little situation where the kids are unable to do anything.

They’ll eventually stop shrieking about “muh 16 year olds in the 1930s” and start shifting the
blame onto the grandparents and extended family. And, this will still be retarded cope. I learned a lot from my grandparents, but it was still not their responsibility to teach me basic chores, how to cook, or how to drive. Plus, how often did these kids get to see or communicate with their grandparents? Doubt they’ve been allowed over to the house recently...

Blaming the “nanny” that quit is also an option. Unless she was hired with “you must teach these kids how to cook and clean” in the job contract, that’s not her monkeys nor her circus. Had she done so to any degree, that would have been her going above and beyond the call of her nanny duties. They call her a nanny, which by some definitions means that could be part of her job, but again that depends on her job description. The terms “nanny” and “babysitter” are often used interchangeably.

If you’re going to hire some college-age girl to raise your kids or expect your oldest to do it for you so you can go on an endless drug bender orgy, then I think you should give up your rights to these kids à la Tomlinson. What is the point otherwise?
