Have you seen any yet that would hypothetically be willing to take the money in that situation? IIRC, it took Count Dankula a year to donate his excess funds for the Nazi pug case because Antifa kept threatening charities thinking about accepting the money. Now imagine Kiwi Farms trying to donate money to a charity, now that people are aware the site has been alive the whole time.
The donation could maybe be done through Hardin? I doubt anyone would refuse a check from him.

It does include the officers.
Sounds like there's a possibility of, say, Detective Pomplun giving his consent. He wrote in the application for the search warrant that he knew of Aaron and April before the whole shitshow with the Rekietas happened - presumably Pomplun listened to Aaron's radio show before he was taken off air. Between that and whatever research he did for the search warrant, I think the odds are good he and the other officers involved might get word there's cash being offered. Although, whether or not they could accept any money for giving consent sounds like a whole different matter.

I suspect the officers will stay far away from it unless one of them is personally implicated somehow, and then it's a defense. E.g., if Rackets claims Officer X did something improper, then Officer X has a reason to ask the union to get the bodycams released.

Otherwise, the officers will keep their heads down and stay quiet, at least until everything blows over.

As to the donation, anonymous ones are possible, and I daresay there's a small town that wouldn't be too askance to KF right now.

I really liked how Legal Mindset put it on Kino Casino yesterday. Barnes is doing to Nick what Nick did to Vic—turning a legal case into a fight for some alleged greater principle even though it's adverse to the best interests of the litigant.
I still think the Mignogna lawsuit was the correct way to go. Hindsight is 20/20 because we know what an incompetent hack Ty Beard is, but at the time hiring a PR firm would've done nothing for him.

Nick did pump up the spectacle, though, and the publicity made the loss even more painful for Vic.

It could have been the anime version of Johnny Depp, but Depp actually had good lawyers

Kandiyohi County estimates the cost for the footage will be at least $3,000. The cost may ultimately be higher if additional police time is needed to search for, review, redact, or reproduce the footage. We estimate that approximately $6,000 will be adequate to ensure that all fees payable to Kandiyohi County under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act are covered.

The request may take several weeks or even longer to process. There is no promise the footage will be received or received on any particular date. They may have a right to deny our request or cite an exemption that protects some portions of the footage. If the County denies our request, it is likely that this video or at least portions of this footage will eventually enter evidence and be made public once it has been admitted as evidence in Court. Minnesota law protects the privacy of individuals seen in bodycam footage and the footage may be censored. It is impossible to predict how censored the footage we obtain might be.

This money may be used in ways other than directly paying the bills of Kandiyohi County. In particular, Minnesota Law permits people involved to consent to having footage released, which greatly helps with getting it released. We are exploring the idea of financially compensating individuals who consent to the release of footage.

If there are significant excess funds, or if our request is denied and no participants consent to having the footage released, the money will be donated to an appropriate charity at my sole discretion (but I will probably run a poll first).
I was just thinking you may want to be more explicit about what will happen if the footage is released, we know who you are but "normies" may not. Just something like "All footage received will be made publicly available as soon as possible after receiving it."

Also, the old glory text box really needs to learn how paragraphs work, not a you problem obviously.

Use it to buy tinned spaghetti-o's and laundry detergent for Rekeita's kids.
I was going to say donate it to an animal charity, but it going to the kids would be nice. How to get it there is another story entirely. Maybe donating it to the Church c/o the Rekeita children?
I sincerely hope the kids have fresh clothes for their summer and into the new school year and not the Goodwill special.
I think -hope, really on the last part- that the kids are with their grandparents who are loaded and will take care of them. I get the feeling based on experience and Nick’s tweets, that his parents are probably enabling him and being manipulated to a degree, since addicts are notorious liars and nobody wants to believe that their child has done bad things. To what degree I don’t know, and it depends on a bunch of things like whether they were already aware that Nick has a problem. But at the very least, I think that the kids are clean and fed and in a clean environment now.

To be precise they are (apparently) with Kayla's parents who are not the loaded trustfunders - that's Nick's side of the family.

However, knowing rural midwestern towns, those kids are lacking nothing in the clothes and food department now. In fact, the danger of overeating is probably real.

The sue Liz fong Jones charity seems pretty legit.

There's already a much larger fund that exists for that cause, and although I consider it a worthy one, I think directing any leftover funds to something more relevant would be a better use. As it so happens, while browsing the forums this past week I learned of five children who were food insecure and didn't have clean clothing that could greatly benefit from this money.

I mean it is hard to predict that everyone in the situation will end up being a retard except Vic.

Thanks for claritying- I think I got it confused when Nick tweeted that his dad tallied up the mileage to drive all of the kids around (side note: as if driving 80 miles intoxicated means you’re a good dad), but people refer to their in laws as mom and dad all the time. Them being with Kayla’s parents makes sense though, since Bob is in Florida, although after all this, the kids deserve a tropical vacation. I wish them lots of yummy whatever the fuck people eat in the Midwest to get so big- and this is coming from someone born in the South.

Predictions about the footage.

Most Hilarious: Balldo throwing the warrant on the ground like a spaz
Rekieta no doubt imagines this act of defiance as a denouncement on par with Charlton Heston, in the role of Moses, casting the tablets bearing the Ten Commandments into the statue of the Golden Calf. The reality is probably going to resemble the spergy kid who never learned how to throw properly, attempting to pitch a baseball, instead planting it in the ground a few feet away.
