Hell, even the Battle of Athens had its origins a full decade earlier in 1936 when the infamous Crump machine took over the county. Arguably the only reason it was successful was because FDR had croaked and Crump and his cronies could no longer benefit from federal protection.

Seriously, Islam is the direct--not good--answer to a lot of the West's problems. Women acting like whores? Slap the shit out of them. Population decline? Sharia Law. LGBT spreading propaganda? Drop them off the roof. Jewish influence? Hang gliding terrorists fixes that. Mind you, I think Islam is bad for everyone. It's a completely nonsense religion that insists upon war on nonbelievers and creates retard societies. People here clown on India, but the difference between India and Pakistan is whether they are Islamic or not. One country is obviously better than the other.

So apparently Trump has raised $53 million in donations in the 24 hours after the verdict, which is more than his record fundraiser brought in back in April, and that's with his site going down repeatedly after the conviction from all the traffic. Also interesting, according to CBS, some 30% of that money came from brand new small donors. I think he raised about $5 million immediately from his indictment last year, which was considered a lot then, but this blows that out of the water.

Going to be interesting to see if Biden gets any bump in donations himself, or if this trial really has only solidified Trump's support base and Biden got nothing from it but a media talking point (though the way CNN has covered the trial, with their own legal experts all but stating on air that it's a sham trial, I'm not sure even the media coverage is what the DNC wanted).

US Navy protects world trade via being the big stick. No one else wanted to put the money and effort into such a huge maritime investment post WWII. As for non-trade matters, if everyone could contain their domestic issues, there would be nothing to police. The “world police” part of America’s “attitude” only exists because foreign criminals do have a effect on the country.
