Nick and the judge do have a past history beyond those comments though. I don't think it's unreasonable to request a recusal. The thing is it's a small town with only like three judges so chances are they all have a history with him.

I mean hey I don't think this is gonna help him or anything but I don't think judge fischer has it out for nick and I have zero doubt nick has just as much "history" with the other judges simply because of his compulsion to be a seedy lying asshole to everyone he meets.

If anything I would not be shocked if fischer turned out to be the most sympathetic to him because she's familiar with him and nick is shooting himself in the foot asking for another judge.
