It is showing some people different messages on the phone vs on desktop, for some reason. One indicating it's temporary, one indicating it is not. I don't think any of us are sure yet if she's completely banned, even NAL. It is inevitable.

Aside from the tried and true conversations we've had on KF before about how HARD it is to get an adult 5150'd, the working theory is that her parents are not very well off health wise, despite being semi-youngish. (John Paul Boyle, b. 1959 is turning 65 on June 29th and Nancy Yvonne Boyle (nee Watkins) turned 69 on January 8th) Her dad as the dox mentions served in the military, on the USS Nimitz which had a serious accident May 1981 which lines up with John's service. I don't know definitively that he was involved or hurt, but it would seem that he stuffers some sort of PTSD at a minimum.

According to this website, NAL may actually be a paid caretaker. The site is Society of Certified Senior Advisors and "The Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) educates and certifies professionals who work with seniors through its Working with Older Adults education program and the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® credential." However, since that profile link has little to no information, just her name and email address its hard to say.

As to why they continue to put up with her incessant bullshit is anyone's guess. They could just be general white trash and are satisfied with this level of care (even though they do seem to get tired of the yelling sometimes), they could feel guilty about not getting better mental health services for NAL when she was younger and clearly showing signs of addiction and probably mental illness.
They might just feel too old to bother. I personally don't subscribe to the theory of (sexual) ABUSE that NAL tends to throw around, at least where her parents are concerned (* I don't discount perhaps someone else did probably take advantage of her, see also her story that Cobes repeated about the pedophile when she was 15) -- as I feel like that's just a dog whistle that she has learned gets her things and causes people (and probably her parents) to back off on hassling her to do things like, get a job or stop running the bath for 3+ hours a day.

Now, is she harming them? Physically? NAL is kind of a wuss (and she has those weak hands) so I can't say for sure, but it would not surprise me if slaps were not exchanged in that household at a minimum. I do fully believe that she verbally abuses them (far more than they do back to her). I also don't believe she huffs duster -- at least not regularly. She might have done so with Cobes in Casper. The sounds people tend to attribute to "NAL IS DOING DUSTER" are her cartoon-sounding nose blowing. And if you compare to the sounds of Cobes actually doing duster they aren't the same. * I am willing to be shown a clip of an appropriate sounding NAL duster huff but I haven't heard one yet.

At 1:28:49 there's a hissing, and it briefly stops, and continues on until 1:29:00... When she starts talking at 1:29:08 listen to how her voice fucks up when she says, "I'm going to bed after THIS..."

I think some of her voice might be caused from whatever thyroid problem she has, but in that moment it's very coincidental that there's a long spray-can sound, and then her voice gets fucked up and stays fucked up.
