It would be surprising if he only had one dealer. The amounts he was slinging around were small time dealer amounts, even though I'm pretty sure it was in fact for personal use. If the cops thought otherwise they'd have brought those charges.

Also made me think that despite Aaron getting that information about the check, it could be OBE. If he did any research, he'd know that the cop who wrote the warrant says that he already knew Nick Rekieta because he had responded to multiple attempted SWATtings of the Rekieta, and that this is NOT a SWAT attempt.

If he's not completely retarded, he's doing the easy things himself and will hire counsel for trial (if it gets to trial). You are allowed one free new judge for any reason in MN, so Nick filing those motions pro se didn't really pose any risk to the case and would save on the legal bills. Although he has never shown budgeting tendencies before, so I'm hoping he doesn't hire counsel.
