In the stream right before leaving for Casper where she gets in a fight with her parents about the running water, her father mentions something about going to the hospital. She may have been admitted to a psych ward before, we just haven't heard of it. The way he worded it made it seem like this wasn't a first time occurrence and she's been sent for psych holds before, if only for 72 hours or whatever the minimum is. Also she doesn't trust doctors so she never seeks out medical help unless she deems it necessary, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's never received help for her mental health.

Worth noting she says "you let HIM violate me" to her mother without specifying who. This coupled with Cobes stating that she still hates her rapist and so does he makes me strongly believe it was her father. I imagine if it was a stranger who raped her as a teenager over 20 years ago, there would be some level of moving on and no longer holding hatred by now (it's still tragic, I'm not excusing anything). On the other hand, if it was instead someone close who was meant to protect her (such as her father), there is no moving on from that.

I do hope I'm wrong.

She also threatened her brother she was going to tell people he tried to molest her or peep on her because he had the audacity to tell her to stop running a loud blender in the middle of the night.

When her dad came into the bathroom to get her to stop screaming like a fucking banshee and turn the damn water off she ripped her shirt off and tried to make like she was naked and being assaulted.

I think she uses SA accusations as a weapon against people when she feels threatened. Like a squid firing ink, she screams like a nutcase and threatens to call people out as perverts.

NAL will claim abuse if someone glances at her a second too long. I don’t believe a single one of her “abuse” claims and Cobes backing her isn’t some kind of confirmation. If anything, she abuses the hell out of her parents who should absolutely throw her ass to the streets.

NAL isn't capable of moving on from things. She's a too fucked in the head and will never come to terms with anything happening to her being in the past.

You let him could be a family friend or a high school boyfriend forced himself on her and her parents thought the screaming and shouting was normal NAL. It can go many ways.

Believe it or not she didn't kill the last one, which was a grackle. She almost missed her rendezvous with the wildlife person that came to pick it up, though, by staying up all night and sleeping through her alarms.
