Containment Random Chris Updates

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
But then you see Chris sitting quietly in an airport or taking groceries from the back of a car, deciding to snap a picture of him as you drive by his home.
Most of what Chris does on his own is really boring, just like most people. It's not like he rolls out of bed every morning, screams JULAAAAAAAY and then spends the day in wacky hijinks.

Are the medallions real life SCP objects?
Best /x/ thread in recent memory.

why is it that Chris is in a house with cameras, afraid of public appearances and only allowing controlled interactions through his handlers?

this is ridiculous, and yet he keeps gaining an audience despite the fact that he's a motherfucker.

I'm literally confused and perplexed by all this but then again, this is the internet where people do some pretty stupid shit for clout so what do I know.
Chris's new followers reminded me of the people who are fans of serial killers or mass shooters.

Someone seems to somehow have in their possession the VHS of the infamous Animal Crossing documentary Chris sent to Nintendo Power and they put it on auction on Ebay

I don't know, it seems weird to me that tape is still around. Unless maybe he also gave a copy of it to a friend/acquaintance? On the other hand, it would be a weird thing to bother counterfeiting.
So is it supposed to be the actual tape he sent in or a copy?

Cause I highly doubt Chris back in the day would have printed off a label to stick on the tape that didn't have some Sonichu drawings all over it.

The label also looks way too new.

I'm going with fake.

It's because Chris is desperate for one thing: He wants people to forget he fucked his mother.
Nobody is going to forget, even half of his own enablers have refuse to be a part of his life, some of them have even regretted enabling him
Only problem is that every time he appears in a photo online, EVERYBODY comes out and starts calling him things that he very much is and very much crowed about during the early period following his incarceration. He had the gall to credit committing a crime against his own mother as him saving her from a car crash...and then wishing she'd drop dead mere months later as if that somehow was going to get him out of prison and back to 14BC. No amount of begging, or false-god prophecy, or attempts to shift the blame onto a non-existent version of himself as having fucked his mother in an alternate universe are getting people to back down. He can't run to a convention for a safe space anymore for much the same reason - they'll refuse him entry at best, or at worst refuse him entry while declaring him persona non gratta at the same time they frame email correspondence for the purpose of mocking him.

So, the only option to stop discussion is to remove the source altogether, which I believe is the reason why public appearances have become so rare. He absolutely was wearing an attempt at a disguise in Dallas, of that I have no doubt.
The next Geno Samuel documentary (if it does return) is going to be incredibly boring, but then again, the last documentaries since the Idea Guy saga were too tragic to watch.

I have to say, his disguises were terrible, if not, lazy at most.
The first time he was released from jail, he immediately dyed his hair bright blue and just covered retarded medallion with his shirt and still dresses like some 8 year old girl and now he’s dressing like a hobo and he still manages to get caught in public.

Next Chris will just throw a t shirt over his head and talk in an over exaggerated deep voice like he did during the Jackie saga when he was pretending to (JuniorJenkies), hoping that that will be enough to fool us (I still to this day can’t believe he thought the trolls bought that shit).
Definitely Caden or somebody within Praetor that we don't know about.
I think it’s Caden, he probably was the one behind the thyma account as well thinking that because I had a feeling that the Oona Helmi chick was Flutter he’d use that as a well to stop us from talking about or watching Chris.

I forgot.
I wish I could forget, the first time I found about his incestous affair, I felt physically sick and began to despise him even more.

Years ago, a small part of (small, not much) felt genuinely bad for Chris, now I just see him in the same category as the rapists and child molesters.
I swear to god, this praetors are giving everything for a dried to death cow, I know they think that nursing Chris is gonna take them away from the poverty but....it´s not gonna be worth it, specially while they are shielding Chris from public trolling, don´t be fucking stupid praetors, people wants blood since the tefflon tard put a foot out of jail, or at least just a little weening in the comments.... it´s like, everyone wants that, just the weird 5% wants the official medallions, boring streams and bullshit you are promoting
Agreed, Praetor are not helping Chris, if they think that what the trolls and his enablers did was bad, what they are doing is a lot worse.
Maybe not as bad the Idea Guys or BlueSpike, but still a little bad.
They are using him to make money and Chris thinks they are genuinely his friends, it’s quite sad.
Chris's new followers reminded me of the people who are fans of serial killers or mass shooters.
I had to react with horrifying, not as an insult, but more of me agreeing with you, the thought of that is disturbing.
But hey, that doesn’t shock me, that WCT fag got Chris interested in Randy Stair.
"Charlottesville, North Carolina"
Did y'all not notice this?
Probably another lame attempt to throw us off his tracks
It´s funny how every single one of us knows how Chris is so painfully retarded to do that, he simply can´t dox, or do something midly intelligent, it´s like asking a monkey to do an equation, it´s impossible, his brain simply can´t do it
If he does dox, it’s usually by accident, like how he accidentally called the Wallflower by her real name in all of his videos and when he accidentally showed Sarah/Steve’s address during his Switch unboxing video
Is she or someone else bribing or threatening him to prevent this?
He must be pretty desperate for Finnish China to keep her hidden
Hope he takes 33 valium's and go lays down.
At most, all it would do is cause liver damage or put him in a very deep sleep
I'm surprised he hasn't doxxed Flutter.

Is she or someone else bribing or threatening him to prevent this?
Maybe she tricked him by saying something dumb like "I’ll date you if you keep your mouth shut"

She probably laid into him beforehand to not fuck it up or else she won't see him anymore. I know I would if I were her.
That is what I am thinking, I feel like she’s fake dating Chris, but giving him an ultimatum by saying "You mention my name, we are done" and now Chris is stupid enough to think that Flutter is his new found sweetheart
i still hold that she's literally just a normalfag looking to help a mental patient
everyone is creating theories about her, fuming over her stealing your precious chris away from you, thinking she's some kinda mastermind... meanwhile she's probably the kinda girl that takes pictures of her starbucks drink and her crusty white dog on a polaroid camera and doesn't even know we exist
I would doubt it, Chris said she wrote to him in jail and she let him grope and kiss her in public, that kind of behavior would normally get her fired or even arrested
If this were true Praetors wouldn't allow it. (bad for business) This is sad though, I wish it was true. Chris should be able to have a true and honest gal-pal he can go to conventions with.
Chris already had a normal true female friend (Megan) and he already messed his chances up with that
is there any reason to believe it's not true? aside from 'it wouldn't benefit the grand fucking council'
A part of me agrees, but his is Chris Chan we are talking about and anyone who would genuinely want to hang out with Chris is probably stupid or mentally ill themselves
Isn't it in Praetor's interest to make Chris more normal? They don't seem to be relying on his insanity to make money, they need him to actually work consistently.
I wish that was the case, but I don’t believe so, it’s not normal for a group of kids to buy a mentally ill grown man a 6 bedroom house to live in knowing fully well he raped his own mother and wished death upon her, they even agreed to help have her kicked on the streets and that says a lot of their character

Think about why people are interested in Chris, and why that would not be in Praetor's best interests. If he's not going crazy in a mall or fucking his mom people will get bored quick, only a small subset give a shit about Sonichu.
The only people genuinely interested in Chris with good intentions ended up being used by Chris himself, Sarah/Steve thought they could be "besties" with him and so did Alyburger and all Chris did was use them as human atms
Seems counterintuitive.

Chris needs to be wacky in order to be relevant, at least in the eyes of the people who follow him or anticipate his craziness.

But then you see Chris sitting quietly in an airport or taking groceries from the back of a car, deciding to snap a picture of him as you drive by his home.

That seems counterintuitive to keeping Chris interesting.
At the moment, Chris is about as interesting as watching paint dry, but I remain hopeful
It is counterintuitive, but I'm just speaking based on what they've done so far. Chris hasn't been given any outlets to keep being crazy, they're not forcing him to stream or tweet. Their, and his, revenue stream only consists of merchandise and commissions from what I know. If they want to him to finish his commissions fast and efficient, then they only benefit by attempting to make him normal. They don't seem to have the balls, or the intention, to actually profit off his insanity actively.,
I don’t think anybody is saying that Caden is profiting off Chris by his own tardness, I think that mean he’s profiting off Chris in general like with his infamy by making shitty medallions.
Another possibility is Caden making Chris his drug mule, it would make a lot of sense as to why he is very protective over Chris and why he is getting him to be so secretive.

Maybe deep down he wants it all to go away. Especially since the people he once considered peers are all trying to stay as far as from Chris as possible. Maybe he thinks laying low will allow him to cool his heels and wash the stink of being a litteral mother fucker away even though nothing will ever remove THAT mark of Kane from his face

The label does look way too new, but maybe on modern paper that hasn't been exposed to sunlight or other really degrading conditions it could still look fairly new? I'll have to check more on how modern paper degrades over 20 years. The print quality isn't great on the Nintendo Power logo, which is consistent with printers of the era, but I'm by no means an expert. Anybody know more?

Clearly the labels were cut out by freehand and pasted on. Chris wouldn't have ever done that and would at the very least have hand written a label. The label also says that CWC's location is Charlottesville, North Carolina as pointed out by @SamuellyGenie, which is not only the wrong state, but the city is inconsistent with where Chris was living at the time, having moved back to Ruckersville in 2000 from Richmond. I actually haven't been able to find any Charlottesville, North Carolina unless Charlotte, North Carolina was what was meant.

The only real explanation I could think of to explain the tape would be if someone at Nintendo Power made the label, using the wrong city and state, then applied it by hand. Does it make sense for Nintendo Power to record and maintain their fan mail like this? I could actually see the wrong state being an accident, but the wrong city is weird as wouldn't Chris have put the return address as Ruckersville not Charlottesville? He was going to PVCC at the time, which is in Charlottesville. Then somehow the tape must've left custody of Nintendo Power and wound up in Canada (I can't find the webpage anymore, but I swear I saw somewhere on ebay the seller listed as being in Ontario). I suppose crazier things have happened, but that's a wild chain of custody.

I've been trying to track down the VHS tape, but haven't had any luck. Telling from the pictures, the only markings on the tape are "Maxell T-120 GX" as well as on the top of the tape "Maxell" and "VHS" which isn't a lot to go off of. If we could find the tape that this is and it's made after 2003 we can verify that it is a fake. Does anybody know any good resources for lists with pictures of VHS tapes, specifically Maxell? There has to be some kind of autismo website with all the VHS tapes to ever be made right?

I'm not sure why but something tickles my brain about 'Charlottesville North Carolina'. I feel like this was a mistaken address that was pointed out on something a LONG time ago, like when i began following Chris kind of long ago.

Dammit.....if I remember anything solid I'll post it but I think this has been noted in the past, maybe to do with this whole Nintendo Power thing to begin with.

I had that feeling too, that maybe Nintendo Power published it mistakenly saying Chris was from NC instead of Virginia but that was not the case (bottom right box, photo found on google images)

If this whole thing is a joke and the address mistake is a 4D chess move, well played lol. And I retract what I said before about why bother counterfeiting it, the listing already has 14 bids with 9 days to go. We'll see if some of them are genuine or if they're all joke offers from weens.

Thanks, the image on the CWCki is really low res and I didn't see that part, and for some reason didn't bother looking up a different image because usually the transcripts are pretty good on the CWCki. It could be a fuckup by someone other than the person who wrote the article/thanks section. I'm really leaning towards a fake/hoax, but it seems out of character for the seller on ebay. The seller by all metrics seems legit and sells rare and obscure VHS tapes since May, 2018 and has good feedback. It seems like a weird thing to chance your reputation on for the small reward of >$100 (at the time of writing) when he sells a decent amount of tapes otherwise. The tape is still most likely fake, but it's possible the seller might not know any better.

Even if it's the original, the quality in VHS degrades everytime you play it and degrades just sitting around. Honestly if you want a high quality rip you are better off using AI on the best digital copy available. Then again if it's original, it's a horcrux worth owning
It's a great discovery but the smartest thing is to put it on YouTube so we can archive it.

At this point Chris himself should be interested in preserving his history, but he's more interested in making money off of it even if it is at his detriment.

So in the end his good name was never that important as long as he turns a profit, which makes you wonder where does the line blur between people still ridiculing him and people who are his fans ironically.

I think at this point he doesn't really care, even though sometimes he'll sperg out about trolls it's nowhere near as often.

Edit: the bid is up to $54. It sounds like the guy doesn't even really know who Chris is.

This is why Christory belongs either on the Cwiki or on YouTube. Normies don't know what to do with such artifacts.

I'd hate to have lost media too but luckily we already have the whole documentary because Chris put it in his "Yep, I'm on tv" DVD, which was then leaked. So its only value would be as a pre-Christory artifact, if true.

If this is a real copy from Nintendo Power, maybe they labeled it for archival purposes and just got the state wrong? Like you said, Chris was in Charlottesville at the time, and it's possible he could've mailed the VHS in from a post office or something there.

We already have the documentary archived so if this is real, it's not really that big a deal. I wouldn't want any Chris Chan artifact in my home, I'd be too worried I'd get cursed by its demonic energy lol. Now if someone managed to get the original Autism Papers from when he was a kid, that would be more interesting. We'll probably never see them, though. The family's copies almost definitely burned in the house fire.

(as a side note, that Animal Crossing video is probably one of my favorite Chris moments, specifically when 3 of the animals go into their houses as soon as he goes near them)

It still doesn't belong in the hands of dumbasses who don't know what to do with it.

Or worse, people who would give it to Caden or Bella or someone.

But what are you going to do?

We have people like Flutter who don't want to give interviews, so if there's hope for the world I don't see it.

That bitch is asking for it, I'm through with Cabbage Patch.

Minor update about the video tape:

I've been trying to find the model of tape and year of manufacture, hoping to establish a terminus post quem as we know the tape cannot be younger than 2003, but have been relatively unsuccessful. The tape is marked T-120, so 120 minutes of recording in standard play. A Romanian user on 45spaces.com (https://www.45spaces.com/video-vhs-cassette-blank-tapes/a.php?a=maxell-731816&c=xa) has uploaded a bunch of pictures of Maxell blank tapes, some of which are dated with a year, but some only have pictures of the sleeve, and some have pictures but aren't listed with a year. So far I haven't been able to find any tapes matching the one in the ebay listing, shown below with the white "maxell" (sic) logo in the top right, arrow in the top middle, and double VHS logos on the right. Some of the photos uploaded may actually be the exact same photo, just reused by the poster for convenience as I'm sure many of these tapes externally are identical, except for side markings such as T-120 or T-160.

The closest images are ones such as this 1980 T-30 which features a similar maxell logo.
1717729061571.png

Or this undated Canadian T-120 (the seller is Canadian), which has a black maxell logo and arrow but in the wrong spots and only one VHS logo.:
1717729129508.png

Or this 1984 T-120, which is identical to the above tape:
1717729230869.png

Does anybody know of any other big lists with pictures of maxell VHS tapes or anybody have other insight? I'm not really super familiar with VHS as a format.

Wouldn't an official tape have the Richmond offices of Nintendo of America address on it someplace? Or any kind of copyright info? This feels too much like a fake the Maxell logo looks too new and yes it IS possible to but bran new blank vhs tapes from them even before vhs made a retroactive comeback. The label looks barley faded in comparison to what should be a 20 plus year old tape. Unless NP was THAT protective of one giant retards fan mail they kept it in archival quality storage for 20 years.

The whole thing stinks of "I have an uncle who works for Nintendo. " energy.

I feel like this tape is fake, like really fake.
Even the description feels like it is written by someone who knows who Chris is and is pretending not to know because it makes for a better story.
Like for instance right now if you Google Chris the first things that come up are that he was arrested for banging his mom, so someone who is just learning about him would most likely say he was an infamous criminal who was talked about on Fox News and not a youtuber. Also top internet search results call Chris a comic book creator and not a youtuber, so if this person just looked him up how does he know Chris is a youtuber?

This just feels like a scam to me.

Does anybody know of any other big lists with pictures of maxell VHS tapes or anybody have other insight? I'm not really super familiar with VHS as a format.
I actually created an account to respond to this. My autism isn't going to let this go (it is both a pattern based situation and a retrotech situation). I'm not an expert by any means but something about that tape was very different. I think it's the pattern in the plastic. Vhs tapes generally used either diamonds, horizontal bars, small squares (sometimes oriented as diamonds), or small rectangles. This tape has a pattern that repeats. Rectangle, square, square, rectangle. I feel like I have seen that somewhere before and noted it because it was abnormal. Doing an image search and a manual search now I cannot find a cassette with this pattern.

Usually studios doing contests and archiving various fan submissions during the VHS era transferred things onto ultra short tapes for filing/storage. In this case, if the submission was over the length of their throwaway tapes, they may have had to transfer it onto a full-length tape. If that's the case, the full length tapes they had access to may not have been consumer grade and that may explain the unusual pattern. The throwaway tapes are usually not very long and are not built to be played over and over again. Leave it to CWC to so greatly exceed the standard submission length that they had to dig out a feature film length cassette. The other thing to consider is perhaps this is something that was distributed via corporate through another country. Regardless, the pattern comes across as completely atypical of everything I'm used to seeing on a VHS cassette. I will continue to look for examples of this tape style.

I'm not saying this is legitimate, but the type of tape may actually lend a little bit of credibility to the story. When processing entries, some businesses will make the address based on the return address they received on the envelope. This is especially true if the person doing the filing or archiving simply gets it with the original envelope versus actually getting some sort of ticket with information about it. The person selling this on eBay doesn't strike me as manufacturing scam tapes, but it's completely possible that they got their hands on a scam tape.

The typeface used for the address is a form of courier, which really doesn't tell us a lot because while it was around it is also one of the most popular typefaces to use when counterfeiting a retro product because it's commonly known to have been around and is relatively easy to work with in photoshopping programs without becoming obviously updated.

The Nintendo Power logo itself is obviously true to form and appears to be the same style they used on mailers and address labels. This also tells us very little because if you were going to steal it and Photoshop it that's probably a great place to get a black on white example.

Overall, I'm somewhat torn as to the legitimacy of this tape, certainly has a lot of factors that scream scam. But again, when I go to dismiss it physical tape itself seems to stick in my head.
