Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Also, LOL about everyone saying "there are no more fans" as the buck-broken abused wife squad comes in to give trip reports about Acolyte, a show that they watched despite knowing that they would dislike it.

The Canon explanation for Rey was that she parasitized Kylo's powers, Chrollo Lucifer style. Which actually could have made for a hell of a plot twist if they'd actually used it. Imagine: Rey gets these amazing powers with zero training because she's so awesome, zero work required, yay! Then at the climax of Episode 8, Kyle or Snoke figures out the connection that she's using and severs it at a crucial moment, completely brutalized her/the Rebellion. Everything falls apart as she's suddenly completely out if her depth. How's that for a second act low point?

TFA would have still be awful and retarded. But also your idea is completely non-workable because that would have Girlboss Rey fail at something and thus not be 100% perfect.
Please think of Kathleen's wine-and-bean-flicking sessions you sociopathic fucking monster.

There are so many interesting stories you could tell.. it should write itself. Take... I don't know some random ass space mafia guy and make a series of him navigating the thin line between the republic and empire. Selling contraband to both.

Boom two season television drama writes its self. At this point just take some of the most popular fanfiction based around OCs it can't be worse.

Hard disagree. The Force being religious magic was one of the best elements from A New Hope, especially in an era when fantasy as a genre had been incredibly secular. The idea that it’s something you have only because you’re special is retarded and only was reinforced by the extended universe books (which have more problems than not) and the prequel trilogy (i.e. Midochlorians). Even from a purely storytelling point of view, giving your main character audience surrogate abilities that he had to work for is much more effective than making him arbitrarily special.
Granted the midochlorian thing in the prequels was like when you test shit for"potential sensitivity". Always took that as one of those things showcasing how bureaucratized everything was in the system before the fall of the republic into an empire. This recent shit with Disney is more like "oh you don't need years of monk training to do the force push/lightning/whatever shit anyone can use the force!!!" It's like how they now have "light side/dark side" as an actual thing instead of it just being "the dark side of the force" as a way of explaining people using the force for their own selfish/morally dubious gains.

OSHA.

Coincidentally, Osha was also the name of the wilding servant of Winterfell from the very beginning of A Song of Ice and Fire. She's the reason why Game of Thrones changed the name of Theon Greyjoy's sister from Asha to Yara, clearly to avoid viewer confusion between characters since "Osha" and "Asha" sound very similar.

Man they really miss game of thrones so much for the ratings.

I love how obvious it is that the brown girl is like a black hole sucking up all the screentime with her uninteresting story.
I have intentionally avoided info about this show and shielded myself in a bubble of glorious ignorance about any aspect of it, but given the trends of this perpetual currentyear and the predictable neuroses of the consultant sphere that dictates the minutia of slop culture, i'm guessing said brown girl's story revolves in large part around a difficult relationship with her mother who probably abandoned her at a young age which will be "dramatically revealed" to be for a totally valid reason n shit

If I am right about any of this please dont tell me because I dont want to know either way

"White people crying was always the goal." Nobody's crying, because almost nobody cares. The days when outrage met a bastardized Star Wars property are long gone; most can't even be bothered anymore to downvote the trailers. The try-hards went too often to the "let's try to convince people to watch our crap to 'own the chuds'" well, and the only people that even respond in that way to Disney+ dropping another Star Wars shaped duece are the Youtubers and such that make their living dumping on these train-wrecks; and asides from those still engaging in some performative anger at these SJWS RUINING STAH WAHS!!! most people in general who bag on Star Wars are just laughing at a franchise they've long relegated to the trash heap. Only the most brain-dead obsequious morons, would be chud-owners and people who make "consuming media" their personality are still around to cheer this dreck: the rest have said their good-byes and moved on.
