My primary issue is, unless this is something you encounter on a pretty frequent basis, the joke just doesn't work. It's just "PUNCHLINE! Now laugh!". If you're gonna do a comic format, you need to put a bit more effort than that for it to work. Say what you want about Stonetoss, but he's a pretty good example of what I'm talking about.

It's the equivalent of "KILL NIGGERS bottom text" with all the edge and shock value removed.

Considering it's only running for 5 days, competing with 19 other ongoing events and more as others start in its time window, on top of not being technically a sale, this is basically the equivalent of resume padding.

Look, we have our own event on Steam! Yet, it's inconsequential, and blending in the background seemingly on purpose. TUNIC, Cult of the Lamb and Death's Door being on sale would have been a proper crowd gatherer, but they couldn't even get the devs/publishers to start one.

Following up on this, I have to agree. There's no way it's making any meaningful money, or even generating audience impressions. I thought it might have showed up on Steam's Update News feed, but it's not in that page's history either. For getting a full sale page, it's achieving practically nothing.

They started their Broadcast for today, but it doesn't take over the default streams of games that are "part" of the event (Cult of the Lamb), doesn't show up on games discounted in the event but also part of other events (i.e. some throwaway game called Brok - Wayback Machine, archive.vn, Ghost Archive), or appear on games that don't have streams and are still part of the event (Tunic - Wayback Machine, archive.vn, Ghost Archive).

Where the current viewer count of 200+ is coming from, I couldn't tell you. It didn't even appear to show up on the Community Broadcasts page...? That might be because Klace is restreaming the participants without being able to set the Broadcast game. I thought maybe they were acquiring viewers by streaming a popular game, and switching to their releases after a while, but even that doesn't appear to be happening.

The stream itself is boooring. Shitty furry VTuber models, and mostly braindead commentary, or dead air over uninteresting gameplay. They aren't even multi-streaming to Twitch.

I did find they started a new Xitter account today. Apparently, this is supposed to be annual.
