"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This is not a notice of closure. These are my thoughts which will impact the direction of the site moving forward.
damn bro I'm so owned. This post I wrote really owns me. It also makes you very smart. Now that you've made this post, all the things you've said are more true, and you're not just cluelessly simping for Russia with zero understanding of how anything works.

I am a nigger faggot
Posting the Null screed from 2020 doesn't refute any of the points we made dipshit.

You're asking Null to break US law and what? defect to a country that already blocks his website?
And then asking the rest of us to break the laws of our own governments.

Can't tell if extremely retarded or actually just shit at Fedposting.

This has got me thinking about that US government payment network that was being talked about last year. (Can't remember what it was called.) Where does that whole thing stand? I feel like it was a hot topic for a while and then just kind of fizzled out.
I think you're talking about FedNow. I was just thinking about that too.

Any idea how that turned out? I imagine that didn't pan out as we hoped it would.

Is the money your problem or the fuckery with the payment processors? One of those can be solved pretty easily
The reason I want a payment processor is so that I can consistently, predictably earn income that I can plan things around. When I'm constantly swapping out moving parts and just asking people for cash every few months it's really not the stability I'm looking for. I want to run things like a real business instead of just a rolling collection of retard shit.

JCB, a Japanese bank that has its own payment processing, has been spreading its wings a little in recent years. One thing of note is that the Japanese have circumvented Visa's and Mastercard's attempts to influence and deplatform their businesses by cutting ties with Visa/Mastercard/AMEX and moving towards making JCB the only credit card they process. I'm not selling this as a solution, nor am I optimistic enough to think that they'll happily do business with you, but it may be worth looking into even if it's just for low profile private use. They offer international payments and have been working on growing their influence by offering cards outside of Japan (primarily in Asian territories), but applying for a card may be difficult as someone that does not live long-term in any of the countries that JCB offers their cards in.
Funny story: When I was in Australia, I moved without any bank cards. I just had my Discover credit card, which has (or had, at that time) zero acceptance outside the US. I would try to get a cash advance at some ATMs while waiting for my Australian bank stuff to get sorted. No ATMs would accept Discover.

Then I went to 7-11 and tried their ATM. It worked. I swear to god I tried every ATM in the country but only 7-11's ATM worked. I would start calling it the Bank of 7-11.

Then I went to Japan on a trip, and lo' and behold... It's real.

I could hardly believe my baka gaijan eyes, but it suddenly made sense. 7-11's ATMs used 7 Bank which accepted JCB which had a partnership with Diner's Club (Discover). That's why the Australian 7-11 ATMs could give me money and nothing else could.

I'm open to doing business with Japan. Jim Watkin's (8ch) had a special business relationship with Japanese people, which is how 8ch was able to sell self-serve advertiser credits for credit card payments using a Japanese site. I just don't know anything about getting a foothold in Japan.

Sorry to tell you but most small real businesses are just a rolling collection of retard shit.

What is the best way to add a buffer to null's money situation?
I think money orders to his P.O. Box still works? Not the iotla trust fund box but the farms one

What is the best way to add a buffer to null's money situation?
bro I have "money," I just don't have income. Like right now we have over $100k for legal protections (and things are progressing, I promise, they're just very slow, but we have time). I have a decent chunk of cryptocurrency. I have no debt. I just don't have a setup for stable, recurrent income.

Gumroad has a recurring payout but if you are ever in a bind, your community has your back

As Null said it's just donations and the like. That's not stable income. It's like a streamer but more retarded because they effectively have an income through subscribers, not just donos. You forget that he has entire superchat segments on MATI. There's no wages or consistent income that he can plan around. Some weeks MATI can pull (don't know actual numbers this is rhetorical) $2000, another week it's $1000. How do you plan around that? You really can't. You can extremely low ball it but that's also retarded.

That's why I said a buffer so that the inconsistent super chat payouts will just be income to the bucket instead of month-to-month uncertainty. This is a solvable problem

Reactions: I'm a Silly
We have basically no russians here because ROZKOMNADZOR BLOCKS US
Did RKN only block .net? Because I was talking about it with some of my friends two weeks ago and .st is accessible without VPN, different internet providers and three different cities which isn't much of a sample pool but either nobody at RKN actually gives a shit ( very high possibility ) or internet providers are daydreaming instead of implementing stupid bans that nobody cares about ( also possible ).

Russia has no constitutional free speech protection. That's the main problem. Even if KF starts working in Russia, if one day something is deemed too hot for Russia, then the game is up and all the time, money and effort setting an infrastructure in Russia is wasted. Null has been arguing about this for years, and even paid money for lawyers around the world to find out what possibilities KF has on their country. And the responses could be summarized as "lmao, not a chance. Don't even try." That's why the US is the only option.

Null, what I'm reading, besides obvious retards, is that people don't have a good grasp of the history of "the situation". Now, to be fair, I don't think a huge majority of the people followed every step of the "situation" history and problems and logic behind your decision-making. Perhaps making a comprehensive FAQ on substack or somewhere with common questions like "Why don't you try "X", or "Y" shithole country?" and "What's up with the money situation?" and "Why the US?" could be a useful, time saving endeavor. With a huge disclaimer of "I will not engage with obvious retardation about this. Read the FAQ before wasting my time with things I've already though about/tried."
