You have to understand that as another one of these narcissist lolcows ego is everything to EVS. Nobody gets to disagree with him when it comes to comics. Nobody gets to refuse to become his subservient apprentice and then completely blow him out of the water in terms of earnings and popularity. With Riley Arrested outside Eric July's event, when I think of comicsgate 2024 what it's turned into is an ethan van sciver sized joke.

We have fat ethan wearing a tex mex themed bedspread that his mom sewed sleeve holes into. A psycho that reminds me of Steve Buscemi in Billy Madison that makes puppets of evs's enemies. evs making fun of people that collect toys while SELLING toys. evs calling Eric July's friends racist for being friends with him because he's a token while commissioning racist puppets. Nick Ricotta. evs defending Nick ricotta by saying his kids are the problem. And now another evs lunatic stalker GETTING ARRESTED in cape like a nutjob while harassing an indie creator.

Imagine looking at this crew and thinking "I'm the cool one". Where was this zeal against the actual SJWs who originally threatened evs life?

Evs comicsgate career was launched as a direct result of people who hated comics, had no business making them, infiltrating comics. These people looked down on comics, superheroes, action figures and all the stuff comic people loved and were the same ones in the schoolyards mocking, bullying and hating on them as dorks.

Evs now takes on that same argument against people who love this stuff AS HE TRIES TO SELL THAT SAME SHIT which is why his sales are trash now. His remaining fans are now the haters that drove him out of comics, they mock and despise all the stuff comic book people love. The truth is he was just an interchangeable artist who latched onto the trump algorithm and couldn't give two shits about what he would draw. The fact he has taken the view of the people who write stories where the punishers wife comes back from the dead and makes fun of him for seeking revenge for her death by becoming a vigilante because it's stupid, is one hell of a twist. But when you're competitor succeeds as you alienate him as an ally what choice do you have.

Evs is now a comic book hating mocking sjw looking to destroy anyone outside of the big 2. I fully expect him to get a gig working for marvel or dc soon on some limited series and proclaim he is "uncancelled".

I'm not sure about that. I'm still convinced Cyberfrog is his passion project and at least one of the many reasons why those books come out so late, is all the details he's adding to every page of it and the revisions he's making - to the point some might even call it overdone.

He was never a good or in any way objective/unbiased reviewer, but I think what originally angered him about Isom the most, was the undisclosed use of 3D assets, something I wasn't a big fan of either. The difference is that a reasonable person would let it go, after Eric July admitted he didn't know and started moving away from it and generally taking steps towards improving the art in his newer comicbooks.

EVS being a team guy and seeing the short term increase in profits, associating with Dick and Vito got him, is now desperate to keep the grift going and has to keep finding new problems with the Rippaverse, even at times, when there clearly aren't any.

I don't think EVS has much passion for comics anymore. Years ago he used to be all about promoting and selling books. I haven't seen that same passion for a good while. I think all the gluttony and general self-indulgence has ruined whatever kind of work ethic he used to have. Or maybe it's age catching up with him? He seems like he just wants to just be a YouTube drama personality now collecting superchats.

I'd say the fact he has 70 trashcasts is proof that his passion isn't really comics. Drawing is hard work, when you need to do it to eat and evs used to have to cough up 264 pages a year. Now he just cashes in on superchats and draws a few pages every now and then to string fans along. I think when he worked with an editor correcting him he was better. Cyberfrog isn't THAT cooked. All his time is spent drama farming on X and youtube to people that don't collect comics, especially now that no one is buying his failed indogogos anymore.

Regarding the 3d assets, I found this most laughable from him. He praised the book initially and as an artist he knows what's what all along. In marvel dc and every other shop there is a process called lightboxing, tracing photo reference. All artists do it and they have interns helping them since comics began. Evs knows this and has done this himself, you can tell his stuff is "referenced" and now with photoshop it's even moreso in the industry. Evs complaining about this is a nonsense comment made by a "professional" who has used these tools (and works with others that use these tools without concerns) against an amateur that is far more successful than him (that is evil for using these tools?) which leads me to why he is truly, irrevocable angry:

Greed and envy rule evs mind, every penny that comes from this comicsgate grift needs to be his or attributed to him with a kickback. evs could have pumped out easily 4 60 page books by now and helped countless cancelled creators but never did because he doesn't care. In fact when someone else did just that he got so jealous of being outworked by an amateur (as he spent all his time streaming) he needs Eric to fail, Eric can't exist because it makes him irrelevant and cucks him on the promise he never delivered on.

I knew evs was full of it when someone pissed on Erics ancestors grave and evs was fine with it. That has nothing to do with "quality" of a product. evs rainbow book looks horrid, crap anatomy. He wants Eric destroyed at all costs, clearly. I couldn't care much about Eric but when evs did that to his "friend" I knew exactly what he was.
