In other words, that "Classic" event really got under my skin. I wanted something to be excited for after six years of disappointment, but alas, they done fucked it up again by monetizing the shit out of it, releasing two 200 fucking dollar packages that looked horrendous, and completely dropping the ball with the selection of games. At least it was one step up from Egg Hunt 2020 as that didn't even have a lobby, but it was definite nostalgia bait, pandering to post-2016 newgens who "miss old Roblox" without having experienced said era. No, Roblox, you've got it all wrong, while we may miss the old design aesthetic and sound effects, it's ultimately because that's an extension of what we associate with the old community, something that has unfortunately faded away in its entirety and can't be restored; you just had to be there. Before the groomers, before limiteds were going for 500,000+ Robux, before the discontinuation of Egg Hunt, before the soulless corporate overhaul of the site layout. Now it just is, as you've said, a kid's game that desperately tries to fit along the lines of the corporate Metaverse craze.
