Mega Rad Gun Thread

Have you ever had to put on kit in a high stress situation? The antifa super soldiers with over 69 confirmed kills against nahtzee transphobes who bust your door down at 4AM aren't going to give you a heads up so you can don a plate carrier and secure it, mount and strap on a helmet and earpro, turn on nods and grab a rifle. Unless, of course, you plan on sleeping by day and sitting all night cooding sneedforo while wearing your kit.
Well, that's why you've got security cameras, alarms, drones patrolling overhead, etc. Gives you an extra few minutes to get ready.

I have everything set up so I just need to grab my plate carrier and rifle. No helmet, no belt kit, no nods. Thermal monocular and ear pro are already in pouches on the PC along with an ifak, ammo, and few other goodies. Kept going back and forth between a QR cummberbund and a velcro one, ended up settling on velcro as it's easier to put on while half asleep.

I also agree with the few that mentioned arson as the more likely event.
If a theoretical event occurred where someone was going to someone's domicile with intent to do something, there is no way someone is breaching that door. I'm a brave boy, but not stupid. If for whatever reason, they needed the people inside to no longer be people, and I was a deranged tranny that did not care about potential collateral, you can bet that I will be doing everything I can to either
A:) Cook or spontaneously discombobulate with concussion the people inside with minimal exposure to any windows, openings, or sightlines for those inside the home.
B:) use said above actions to force those inside out of any of the escape routes of the home.
As much as you spend on fighting kit should also be spent on prep kit. Extinguishers, masks, cameras set up around property tied to some kind of alert system. Knowing the layout of your home and the surrounding area so that if escape and recovery is necessary, which it may be, is on par if not better than a fighting rifle with the hottest rounds known to man.

Definitely a possibility, but it really depends on the property. If it's a suburban house then there's not much one can do, but if it's something closer to a cabin in the woods with a long road leading to it, well, you've got lots of room for security cameras and fences and such, should be ready for visitors by the time they approach.

Goes back to my point about drones, by the way. Arson and drones go hand in hand if one knows what they're doing. Other than fire extinguishers it may make sense to have nomex gloves, a fire blanket, and maybe some sand barrels around the place (can integrate it into a decor element as not to scare off any female company).

If the Summer of Love has taught us one thing, it's that antifa trannies still don't know how to put together a proper Molotov Cocktail.

The amount of fucking people I have seen reposting images of the faggy movie molotov construction with some rainbow text over it saying some shit like "Become Ungovernable" is way too fucking high. It makes me feel better, because I know that when they get out there and raise that bottle above their head to heave at me, it's far more likely they become a roman candle than I.

I sleep well knowing as a free man my enemies are out gunned out trained and a bunch of fucking fags.

I know, but the alarm is mainly a deterrent against burglars and typical nigger home invasions and the cameras are basically for showing the police evidence after the fact. I'm know there are systems that trigger an alarm when a person gets in range of a camera on your property, but two words: false positives. This is a problem with alarms systems in general. I've seen people with really expensive systems who don't bother to arm them anymore because their audio glass break sensors got triggered by a plastic bottle falling in the kitchen during a midnight snack and the cops being called by the system. Costs are a big issue too. Basic whole house alarms, cameras, and NVRs cost like $15k in my area (not ADT, ring, simplisafe, or cable company garbage btw). I'm sure diy could cut costs down though. In any case, a person with nothing to lose who is determined to kill you won't care about all that and just bust in leaving you with little to no time to prepare.

High Stress turns nimble fingers and EZ velcro attachment into cooked hotdogs and rubiks cubes. But you can train to muscle memory. Hard to train for the actual ohfuckohfuckohfuck adrenaline dump event itself, but you could probably practice setting random alarms on your phone. 2:15 the first night, 8:30 PM the next, 4:27 AM the next night. See how long it takes you to wake, assess, throw all your gear on, clear room, and be ready. There are ways to make it easier, I have a rig set up on my wall that's tearaway for my kit and battle belt, so I can just yank the fucking thing out of the wall and throw it on.
This won't train you for the flood of numb adrenaline you will experience when there is actually something bumping in the night, but will allow you to see any faults in the way you have things set up, positioning, area of the home you've decided to be your go to zone.

I wouldn't underestimate the importance of securing doors and windows to give yourself more time. I don't know about enough to put on a plate carrier, but any extra time is good. Solid wood doors rather than hollow core, hardened screws and strike plates, security hinges, high quality locks, bars on windows... some of those things are cheap, some aren't. Nothing will keep anybody out forever, but the more time they have to spend figuring out how to open the door, the more time you have to prepare for entry.

Again it all depends on the property. If you live in suburbia or in the city, then yes, none of that will help. If someone is not retarded they can knock down the door and be in and out in a couple of minutes. Or if it's some bumbling antifa cunts they can struggle with a patio door for 15 minutes, seen enough cases like that too.

If you don't mind the looks, get window bars. They make it difficult to escape from the house too, though.

But if it's a proper rural property with only one main access road, much easier to rig it up with game cams, regular security cameras, and various other sensors to give you advance notice. As for false positives, they happen, but just need to tweak the system and test it more. Yes, it's a pain in the ass. Yes, the cost is expensive, but still worth it compared to, well, being dead.

Really bro?
Talking about a Mavic Mini, not a Global Hawk. Not realistic in most places, but I've seen a few arrangements out in the country when a few locals would pay someone to do planned flybys of their properties and notify if they see anything or anyone funny.

There's been several what-if's thrown around from drones to fires to giant headed wumao troons sending their legions in the night but what about the old standard and that's swatting? Wherever you go you'll probably need to get in touch with the local law enforcement and see if you can get what some celebrities have and that's the special number they can reach you at before they send anyone out.

In Pensacola I went to both the local PD and the FBI's office and told them about my risk after I got doxed. I never had an encounter with them that was beyond a doorknock.

To be fair it really depends on the case, for me even if somehow the Troon SS (SissySquad) supersoldiers knew exactly the layout of my house and somehow managed to pry open the outside iron gates without my dog going schizo, then my main door, without my dog going schizo and bumrushed my bedroom upstairs they'd still find my bedroom door locked with me on the other side holding my shotgun and wearing the carrier I leave on the desk chair, you can have plenty of time depending on your particular scenario.

There are tasteful looking window bars you can get that have mechanisms to open them from the inside while still being secure from the outside. It's not the kind of thing you can buy at Home Depot though. Contact a local specialist.

EDIT: On a budget, window security film is worth considering to buy you a few more seconds. It's not great, but it's better than nothing.

You've touched on something I don't see brought up enough. I've seen so many YT videos and know so many real life people that prep for Red Dawn, and then forget that their home was built ten years ago, and all their hinges are pot metal, their doors are hollow and crumple if a drunk man leans on it, they've got yellow pine making up their frames and quarter inch drywall making up their home. A determined crackhead will phase through your door, a determined attacker will destroy your house in moments.
Solid wood, solid metal, solid anchored connections for all these things. 5 more seconds for them to be in the room with you is twice as much as you should need to chamber a round and hunker. I never take for granted that our home is ancient, and is mostly oak, maple, cedar, concrete, brick, etc....

No doubt. Here's an example for a standard residential door.

Hardened Screws
Hardened Strike Plate
Security Hinges - If the hinges are on the outside, this keeps someone from taking the door off by removing the pins. Not needed if hinges are inside.
Anti-Kick Plate
Pick-Resistant, Easy Rekey Lock*

Total cost? Under $150. Any drunk retard with a power drill can install all that in less than an hour. Maybe a little more if you need to chisel a mortise for relief. The only thing missing is the solid door. That's less cheap, but even without that this will keep out 99% of crackheads long enough for you to lock and load.

*Not everything that says Smartkey on it is created equal. The Uptown is, from what I've read, the gen 3, which is quite solid. Gen 2 is... okay. Gen 1 is a piece of shit.

If you intend to don a plate carrier, helmet, etc. in the middle of the night after an alarm or loud noise wakes you up, you're going to need to train for it. Practice putting on that stuff during your waking hours to be as fast as possible. Once you're satisfied with your waking hours speed, set a phone alarm for a random hour at night. Wake up and don your kit as fast as possible. Just as other posters have mentioned, you'll see how long it can take to get all that stuff on properly after waking suddenly. Try to get it down to no more than 30 seconds upon waking.

Also, you previously mentioned wanting a scope on your rifle. I'd recommend against that, since they don't work well at all with NODs. Get a good red dot sight. Aimpoint makes excellent red dots, and even Sig now makes very good ones (Romeo 4T PRO and Romeo 8T). Not only are these faster in general to use than scopes for close-up shooting, they're the best options for shooting with NODs (next to EOTechs, anyway).

Makes me miss the old country. It was all concrete, bricks, steel doors, and some places had a safe room or an underground bunker with a blast door. Pretty cozy.

Speaking of reinforcing doors and doorframes, people shouldn't forget that most walls are also paper thin. Sometimes it may be easier to go through a wall than through the door.

Oh yeah and best thing one can do to improve their security is to make friends in the community, know the neighbors. No amount of expensive gear will replace a few extra sets of eyes and hands.
