Creation Kit hasn't even been out a day. I agreed from the start it wouldn't save it, but come on guys was somebody supposed to release some must play in the middle of the day on Monday mod in 12 hours?

Yes, troons.
Why would they leave the degernate haven that is Skyrim, tho?

Anyways, seems like reviews are trending down on Steam again. Nobody seems happy about the 7 dollar bounty quest.

Edit: I'm seeing Xbox users bitching about which creations effect achievements and which don't. I'm scratching my head cause like...it's been 9 or 10 months shouldn't they have all the achievements by now?

If you dump a load of creations on your main save and a dlc releases you’ll be screwed for the achievements on that

Hell I think even a single creation/mod would fuck you over for achievements, unless they changed the system for Starfield.
PC Players can bypass the block for achievements with the script extender, but Xbox players are boned, poor bastards.

I thought people were waiting for the creation kit to be released so we could see how much they had to cut or dumb down Starfield, it doesn't bode well that there aren't even 4chan posts going "your fuel consumption actually mattered in this specific way"

Bethesda creations don't effect achievements, seemingly because they are quests, outfits and skins. They're labeled as "achievement friendly". I *think* this was the case with Skyrim AE too, but they didn't give them a label back then?

It seems to me that there are a lot of people coming out of the woodwork where Starfield is their first Bethesda game, or at least their first launch Bethesda game. On top of not understanding that Bethesda paid content are the ones not effecting achievements, I'm seeing a LOT of complaints about Creation Club pricing as if this hasn't been well established with Skyrim and Fallout 4. (and possibly Fallout 76? I never played it but I heard the MTX in it were dumb)

I think most of the people that wanted the Creation Kit for that, at least at launch, aren't the type of people who have the actual experience to find that shit in a day.

Of course, many of us also speculated that one of the potential reasons for the hold up was so they could take the time to scrub away more embarrassing shit that they would have left behind back in the day, so who knows?

Edit: People are already pissed at Arthmoor because he changed the title of a book in the game with his patch lol

I’m off work sick and just redownloaded it on, and may Chris Chan Sonicu forgive me for saying this, my Hexbox.

I’ve not touched it since September.

Am I wasting my time giving it another go?
I don’t know. The DLC trailer looks pretty neat, and they have been trying to patch out bugs. Basically, they have gone back and fixed quite a bit. It’s still not perfect, obviously, and we’re going to be stuck waiting for new content for quite a while, I think.

I’d say that it’s a maybe, at this point.

Singleplayer games can't be dead.
Admittedly, yes, this is true. It’s not like it’s a live service game that needs hundreds of thousands of concurrent players to remain viable. However, it is a fact that modder communities that spring up around games are reliant on a large player base for donations, updoot ball-fondling, and so on. Even with the mod tools out, Starfield may never end up having the same amount of community-created content as Elder Scrolls and Fallout did, simply due to a lack of prospective players for that content.

For any given game, the number of people who actually use mods always falls short of the total number of players. So, for instance, even if a game has 10,000 players, only a few thousand of them might use mods, and out of that, the number of people who play with like hundreds of mods installed is an even smaller subset. Modders might see that they only got like a hundred or two hundred downloads for something they spent hours or even weeks working on, and they might throw up their hands and be all like, “Why bother?”

So, the creation kit and the one and only DLC this piece of shit is likely to have are finally coming out, huh? A week late and a dollar short. Nobody is going to care and this won't bring any new players in.

So Achievements now don't work? lmfao, I guess it wouldn't be a Bethesda launch if it wasn't completely broken in some way. Well, that or maybe they just want to relive the nostalgia of Starfield's own launch when the game was completely broken as well.

There is nothing that could make me play this game, even pirate it. Waste of space on my HDD, too unoptimized for me to care(I am not buying an SDD just for this game and I am not "upgrading" my PC when it will run like ass regardless). At this point, it would be better to engage in an actual Space Sim like X series or Elite and Dangerous if you want this kind of experience, at least there will be payoff once you learn the systems and mechanics.

Mods always disabled achievements.

The confusion comes from them merging "creations" with mods. Bethesda created creations do NOT disable achievements, and Xbox players can't seem to figure out why Bethesdas paid skins and quests don't disable achievements, but random users cheat rooms do.

Yeah but New Vegas fans are literally crazy people.

I am not sure how I got here. Clicked the wrong thread title. How is Starfield? I remember hearing about it a lot and now nothing.
It's a $600 million flop basically every worst aspect of fallout 4 cranked up to 11
also I'll have you know I'm not that crazy and I'm tired of sharing the new Vegas fandom with all of the transgenders same thing with fallout one and two and tactics

It's the same as it ever was, but now it has stuff that actually lets you be a bounty hunter so it's a bit better I guess.

Edit: I haven't actually played the bounty hunter stuff yet so currently my definition of "better" is that they actually finished what was clearly an unfinished part of the game. You could argue that it's actively *worse* since they're going to start selling bounty quests with storylines through the creation club and currently the first one they have is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. (40 minute quest, two recolored clothing items and two guns, one of which I hear is bugged)

Fallout new Vegas has more people playing it in a 24 hour.
TBF, for the better part of the past 9 months I just barely more people were playing Starfield. Then a Fallout TV show came out and all of the 3D Fallout games got a huge bump.

It's why I think they would be crazy not to be working on a Starfield anime just like CDPR did with Cyberpunk.

So, they finally finished a gameplay mechanic that should have been in the base game...only to sell it back to you as Creation Club content, in a generic CAPTURE, LOOT, RETURN quest that takes less than an hour to complete. lmfao
Something tells me that they might sell the vehicles for 15$ as Creation Club content as well. Fallout 5 and TES6 are definitely looking worse and worse by the minute.
