I’m not sure if I agree on his opening thesis, since it’s hard to beat the shambolic Afghanistan pull-out for delusional incompetence and retardation. But I co-sign the rest.
What are you talking about, the shambolic pull out from Afghanistan was absolutely flawless and nothing bad happened. Its already been forgotten!

Well, I for one won't lose any sleep over those protesting this hostage retrieval. They are likely the very same people who were tearing down missing person's posters of women and young children in October. Perhaps Hamas should train their child soldiers not to fire RPGs and mortars in the middle of a Gazan favela.

Seeing scumbags as Owen Jones crying and going "they killed 200 Palestinians" while not mention that they died because hamas put the fucking hostages among civilans (and he never answer how many of those who died were hamas members or civilans... wonder why)
Owen Jones is blindsided on this issue, likely following his terrorist sympathizing compatriot, Jeremy Corbyn. At this point, he'd probably run to the defense of an Islamist even if they beheaded his own mother in front of him. "It's just their culture mate..."

Looks like Qatar is getting sick of the Hamas ledership:
snippet:
Qatar and Egypt have recently warned senior Hamas leaders that they could face arrests, asset freezes, sanctions and expulsion from Doha if they do not accept a proposed hostage release deal in exchange for a halt to the war, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal on Saturday, following a similar report from CNN.

These threats were reportedly issued at the behest of the Biden administration, which has been pushing for a cease-fire agreement. In a call on Monday, President Biden urged Qatar's leader, Sheikh Tamim Al Thani, to "use all appropriate means to secure a Hamas agreement," according to a White House statement.
Despite these pressures, Hamas continues to reject the deal, which does not guarantee an end to the war in its initial phase. CIA Director William Burns has asked Qatari and Egyptian officials to assure Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas' political bureau, that mediating countries would ensure negotiations to end the fighting would commence in the third week of the first phase and that terms would be agreed upon by the fifth week.

The "Deal" probably isn't going anywhere.

Hamas wants an immediate halt to the fighting. Israel is winning and capturing territory, so this would be stupid and they won't agree to it.

Israel wants ALL the hostages back. Hamas realizes that doing this would let Israel bomb them to hell without risking hitting a hostage, so they won't agree to it.

If they do "agree", neither will follow the terms and will accuse the other of violating the deal.

How did that pier cost 500 million dollars?! I've seen wooden piers in pirate movies that looked more sturdy.

Y'know that story of the "ten thousand dollar toilet seat"? It's illustrative of the process that makes this sort of stuff happen.

The toilet seat didn't just show up with an invoice for $10k. The supplier charged a pretty standard price for the seat itself. It was all the bureaucratic "procurement" bullshit surrounding it, and all the attendant (useless) "labor" associated with it, that drove up the cost.

Any ol' shmuck with carpentry skills and a skiff full of lumber can build a perfectly suitable pier for this task. But said schmuck isn't a vetted, DoD-approved contractor who's agreed to use only preferred suppliers, personnel and procurement procedures (and to slip some cash-filled envelopes under the right doors here and there). At no point does "competence" come into the equation when the DoD is doing its vetting for stuff like this. You wouldn't believe how expensive a good old-fashioned bureaucracy can be.

Not surprised, but that's the clip I saw on Telegram. I wonder what he'd say to the "Fags for Hamas" protesting in front of the White House.

In a couple decades we will need somebody to study the psyche behind this unusual LGBT x Hamas crossover phenomenon. In many cases it seems the common denominator is autism.

The fiery protest of the Nova exhibition is insane but I’m glad these Morlocks are showing their asses.
Mourning dead Jews who were gunned down at a music festival is considered "propaganda" to these freaks. Not sure if anyone saw videos of it, but the organizer of the protest, known agitator and local terrorist Nerdeen Kiswani proudly shouted that the Nova festival was "like having a rave next to the gas chambers."

In addition to this, federal procurement rules these days have requirements that a certain percentage of jobs have to go to businesses owned by niggers, which as you can imagine drives prices up and quality down.

Soldiers on the ground have resorted to medieval siege warfare:
Video shared online shows IDF troops using a trebuchet to launch incendiaries at Lebanon, apparently to expose Hezbollah positions hidden in forested areas.
Not going to lie, this is probably more effective than the general staff's strategy of taking out individual motorcyclists and empty rocket launchers.

A new survey of Palestinian attitudes was released:
Survey of up-to-date and extensive Palestinian public opinion: 73% strongly support Hamas's decision to launch the 7.10 attack.

The Palestinian Center for Political Research and Surveys published today a comprehensive survey conducted at the end of May on a variety of burning questions related to the current conflict. The survey included about 1570 participants, half from the West Bank and half from Gaza.

At a glance, the survey shows a rising trend in Palestinian public support for Hamas and its actions, with confidence that it will win the war and remain in control of Gaza afterward.

Here are some data points from the survey:

- 73% of respondents answered: Hamas made the right decision when it went to war on 7.10 - the highest figure in this question since the beginning of the war.
- 96% of Palestinians who did not watch videos from 7.10 do not believe Hamas committed atrocities against Israeli civilians.
- 54% of Palestinians who saw the videos from 7.10 do not believe Hamas committed atrocities against Israeli civilians.
- 79% of respondents believe Hamas will win the war - the highest rate since the beginning of the war.
- 61% of respondents in the survey prefer Hamas to continue to rule the Strip after the war (71% of Gaza residents and 46% of West Bank residents prefer this).
- In the case of elections for the PA presidency between Abu Mazen and Ismail Haniyeh, Abu Mazen would win 5% of the votes and Ismail Haniyeh would win 46% of the votes. 46% stated they would not vote in the elections.
- Support rates for Hamas and Fatah in general elections: 17% will support Fatah, 41% will support Hamas.
- Only 32% of respondents in the survey support a two-state solution.
- 52% support armed struggle as a way to end the occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state.

If you have been following this war for a while, you may have got to know about Francesca Albanese, a italian who work for the UN and who love Palestine.
Well, it look like she have doing some glowie shit:

snippet:
UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has been operating an international network entitled the “Global Network on Question of Palestine” (GNQP) aimed at targeting Israel, according to a UN Watch report earlier this week.

Via GNQP, Albanese has been coordinating legal campaigns against Israel, justifying Hamas's actions, and advocating for the funding of UNRWA, the report stated.

The report found that the network's members include some 100 people and NGOs, such as UN, UNRWA, Palestinian, and PLO officials, along with pro-Palestinian academics and activists.

Among the institutions listed as members by the reports are the Palestinian Return Center, which Israel has deemed an “unlawful association” due to its Hamas affiliation, according to NGO Monitor, and the Ramallah-based Palestinian non-governmental human rights organization Al-Haq.

The UN Watch report maintained that to encourage UNRWA funding, network members were told to utilize “overtly racist messaging” to raise the subjects of “illegal immigration” in Europe, specifically when speaking with right-wing and anti-immigration governmental officials. According to the report, this would fuel the fear that failing to fund UNWRA would signify that “millions of Palestinians are forced to flee the Middle East."

Exactly. Things that cost say $1,000 end up costing $5,000 due to compliance costs and meeting absolutely moronic DoD requirements.

Fun fact, the M4 rifle could be made softer shooting, more reliable and a bit more ergonomic with a simple upper receiver swap EASILY. A mid length gas system and new handguards. You can even keep the bayonet lug and the existing grenade launcher system if you want or tweak the bayonet mount and get a better grenade launcher attachment system.

Instead the Army is like NAAHHHH let's drop tens of millions on a fat pig rifle with a $11,000 optic instead.....

Israel actually isn't QUITE this bad for certain gear items.
