but whats the point of a lie like that
why would she claim to have been fat twenty years ago? where's the benefit in that?
So many reasons:
1.) People lie about having a hard upbringing or childhood trauma all the time, mostly for pity points if its a woman doing it. Anisa's entire image is victimhood, except she had a normal family and lifestyle. So what the easiest and most believable lie for a normal white girl with a lawyer dad? Being the fat weird girl who peed herself in middle school. Bonus points for it setting the stage for her eating disorder identity.
2.) It's her self-mythology. Anisa has survived sexual abuse, bulimia, what the fuck ever, and is also very very quirky. She told us she ate lemons so much it required medical intervention and she was a practicing Muslim who faced discrimination. That means we have to believe that Anisa was a 180 lb, 6th grade autistic muslima who serially ate lemons and pissed herself constantly. And she wants you to believe that, because she's too quirky to have
ever been a plain ass middle school girl, like this girl is
different. I think these stories are rooted in partial truths, which brings us to...
3.) She's admitted to "story-telling" in a way that exagerrates the truth because of her upbringing. Which is a pretty sick claim because that means the only attribute of being Muslim she carried into adulthood was the propensity to lie. This is a character trait, aka something people do pathologically, to literally anything you discuss with them, because thats how they are. So something as integral as her own childhood will definitely be up for the Anisa treatment. Typically, people just call you histrionic.
Analysis finished. This shit makes me mad because none of her 60 viewers ever clock her. I could die satisfied if she was ever forced on stream to confront the insane lies she's told about herself and her family, and still tells to this day. Actual psycho, or she's 8d chessing us with an Anisa "character".
