There's a famous early Internet chain email where a professor asks the students if any of them are stupid enough to believe in god. A lone student raises his hand and the professor says "I suppose if god is real, he can stop this piece of chalk from breaking." The professor then drops the chalk, but mistimes it and drops it a bit too close to himself. The chalk rolls down his pants leg and off his shoe, landing on the floor unbroken. Then the student's name is often cited as being Albert Einstien. This story was unironically sent back in the early 2000s as a true story that happened.

There was a thing conservatives did where they insisted on calling him Nobama, or the Resident (instead of the President). Kind of a precursor to liberals calling Trump, DRUMPF. There was also a level of magical thinking to it, where they thought calling the president a silly name would somehow take his power away. Very Chris Chan saying the names of his enemies backwards energy. idk what the current equivalent is. Conservatives call Biden, Brandon. But I don't thin that name has the same magical thinking behind it that boomercons had for their dumb nicknames for Obama.

"Let's Go Brandon" has the advantage of originating in a genuinely funny happening concerning a journo trying to sweep up for Biden at a stock car race, rather than just boomers trying to pun. I think that's why it's got legs.

The current equivalent would be thinking that Biden is a secret catholic agent sent to impose the papist agenda and he wants to shove all white children down a volcano to appease gay moloch. Energy that boomercons had at the time towards Obama was very comparable to TDS where they would try to satirize him but it inevitably would fall flat because they are simply too angry about some utterly superficial thing to do humor properly.

I'd change one of their avatars to imply they were for the thing they were arguing against in the slap fight, and then I'd watch them blow up at the other person. One time it intensified the slapfight to the point where they both got banned. Great shit.

I used to do something similar on 4chan when two retards were arguing. Just amp up their argument by alternately pretending to be one of them and then hurling some real below the belt insult. Sometimes I'd have two anons making ridiculous death threats against each other.

Fyad criterion seems to be closed to non-member viewers now and I forgot my password from 12 years ago but the failson Thanksgiving thread where they were all roleplaying as early 20s gamer dipshits with no prospects and how they deal with their families over the holidays is probably the hardest I've laughed reading anything in my life.

Most of the comedy on SA actually came from a swath of the userbase having a deranged drive to have a project or create something paired with a darwin awards level lack of self-awareness. There was just something about the site that attracted a steady flow of people who would do things like build a zipline at a summer camp that would break a kid's neck if it was implemented. https://www.reddit.com/r/tumblr/comments/zb7xet/ripline/. Or that cryptobro who was trying to build a yoga center in hawaii and all they did was torture some invasive wildlife to death and contract parasites.
