I think the "ugly wahmen" epidemic in video games is massively overblown, and it's because the gamer demographic is rife with incels, porn addicts, e-nazis, and various other types of genetic sewage that barely get to see women in real life.

I will make a possibly bold statement here and say that if you don't like Incels and you don't want a more "traditional" ( I might get in trouble for that word, but I can't think of anything better) society, you tacitly like pornography. What I said was not a defense of Incels or Porn not really. I hate both things, but I am pointing out it is extremely necessary to maintain the Status Quo. I concur that Porn is a short term solution that ultimately does more long term damage. But it does work in the short term. Once that fails incels who are porn sick get pushed in certain directions. Trooning out is one. Becoming a NEET and social isolation is another.

My response though is what do incels actually do? They are mostly contained in a administrative sense and won't really cause too many problems. Mean tweets towards women is not really that big of a problem. The thing that really got ISIS going was its ability to get women for incels basically. There is a very good reason access to pornography is made extremely easy and the Federal government hasn't completed destroyed porn sites for allowing minors to access pornography. The federal government did go after Porn sites via the financial institutions for minors appearing in pornography. Normally I hate the financial system doing this type of thing but in this case I was happy to see it happen.

Another thing incels and westernized communists have in common is that, is that they are obsessed with the idea of tearing down the current system and replacing it with their ideal version of it, where they are in high positions. Never, when they mention their ideas of their new and improved utopic society, they ever mention how they want to be blue-collar workers, the laborers, the gears that keeps their system going, it's always them being at positions of powers or making some position that makes them important despite both of these sides lacking the qualities

I am and also work with people who are really fucked up and I completely understand why they get stuck because if you have no real point of reference for things getting better you basically feel you are being lied to when people say that this time things will get better.

Also, the further along in life you've gone without getting help the more help you need to get you where you should have been to an extent that probably no one person or organisation can help you that way. I spend a lot of time getting yelled at because while our organisation did provide short term help it's only a drop in a bucket and didn't really fix anything. Which is both true and not true, in that we did provide the help we said we were going to but it doesn't fix any of the circumstances they're in that causes them to need the help.

I wouldn't say I've had to work with many self-identified incels, I've had to work with men who are resentful and blame women for their problems, but they're not what I would call incels either because they are too old (mostly) or because being an incel seems to be a very middle class identity in some way. From a UK perspective. Like I know plenty of working class men who are struggling but they are not becoming incels about it.

Also while I guess it does have some short term effect, the porn use as long term damage is much worse, and it's an example of the kind of thinking (short term solutions) that is why we're all collectively in the shit. And a lot of incels claim to realise that porn is bad (but say it's a jewish superweapon) and still participate - so they are absolutely fine with having the same short term mindset as everyone else, it's just that they're not already at the top of the tree. Providing incels copious amounts of porn is at best, a band-aid slapped on a horrible infection. Unless you really get to the root cause of why incels are so miserable (which is usually that they're autistic, don't have friends of either sex, and they haven't developed proper social skills and coping mechanisms to deal with their autism) then the problem is just going to get worse.

They're a burden on their families. Parents of incels are paying their sons rent (or letting him live with them), provide them food, cable, an allowance, a vehicle, you name it. In Japan, sociologists call this the 50/80 problem: parents in their 80s are continuing to support NEETs in their 50s until the parents literally can’t do it anymore. So the social burden is there, it’s just mostly borne privately, probably because having a incel son is embarrassing and the parents think it's their fault that the kid turned out this way. (Which, maybe that's true, maybe that isn't true. Maybe it's a bit of both, autistic child + parents not dealing with it well.)
