Plagued Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

We can't took away the quality of their products, but holy shit (mini PL ) I wanted to offer some small Lego set to one friend's son for his birthday: 20 euros for ONE lego car is absurd.

Maybe I'm biased but I have the impression that the gap between quality and mediocrity is not only growing, but brands that sell quality products have indecently increased their prices in recent years. I know inflation yada yada but when I see hiking shoes for 200 when I had paid mines 50 at the time, and they still hold up when well maintained after 10 years, I can't stop but wondering what the fuck happened.

The saddest part is we can't even count on thrifting anymore since it became kind of mainstream now.
Is it speed champions?

That Junkman might be the most creepy consumer pro-Disney borderline breadtuber YouTube channel I have seen yet. Even ignoring the fact that he is pretty racist and bigoted towards white males and heterosexual people for existing because they are why Disney Star Wars and Hasbro are failing. Even ignoring this, he is an anti-capitalist, collecting toys and still spending his life masturbating over 70s and 80s pop culture that particularly only exists because of the same Ronald Reagan he hates. That Junkman clearly gets excited over watching children in ads. He even made a video with a friend getting wild up reacting to children's underwear ads. It is pretty suspicious and creepy.

I enjoy the chiner bootleg Lego for the simple fact that it allows for more creative sets. I don't want to have Lego wall to wall like some of the posts I see here, I only buy sets I really like + are of some value.
Lego is so picky with their official set releases. The community is constantly pumping out amazing ideas and anyone who's just brand loyal sits around waiting an entire year for something to become available.
Sometimes when sets are leaked the Chinese are already copying it and put one up for 1/4th the price and I think that's alright too. You kinda get what you pay for in a sense but, all you pay extra for with Lego brand is the licence really, and slightly better quality control. Those bricks be overpriced and overhyped.

I am right in the middle of Lego time with my kids, oh my poor feet. Luckily half of it is my rando pieces from my childhood. I just... really hate the IP sets. I feel like there's nothing to build, and for boys, that's the fun part. They don't usually play with the things that much after they build them because the kind of play with these sets is kind of like playing house. They'll play with the cars they make and that's about it.
I know it's not practical from the CEOs point of view, but the only IP is be into is actually making Lego models of real cars.

I don't fully know how it works but people I talk to say they work in batches to cut down on print times.
Resin printers print an entire layer at once, so the time to print one object is the same as if you fill the build plate with objects of the same height.

FDM printers print everything individually, there can be slight time reductions doing multiples but not nearly as much as resin.

No, it's Cars's Duplo. I don't think he's interested with famous collectible racing cars (yet?) and he's too small anyway.
Licensing and the fact that it's retired, no wonder why it's expensive.

Imagine being an obese balding 40yo with a hobo beard flexing a fucking switch of all things, it was never even an expensive console, at launch it was like half the price of the cheapest ipad, you can't even buy a non-shit android phone for the price of a switch.

We aren't in elementary anymore dumbass, nobody is impressed that your dad got you the super scope, in fact, are your parents even alive anymore? please don't tell me you blew the money they left you on this shit...
Is there even name for this genre of faggots defending billion dollar corporations in name of communism and LGBT propaganda on YouTube? Outside of just Disney adults. AirrickDebunks is a good example. He like a breadtube that exclusively defend corporations from criticism.
I call it religion.
Nah I call it prostitution, look at those pathetic numbers, the other guy also has just 41k subs, there are channels that just repost shit off tiktok that have three times that many subs.

These bitches are just doing it for the corpo bucks, or in hopes that the corpos will pay them to shill since those numbers are so low I doubt disney et al are calling them.
ith dual 12-core/24-thread CPUs,
Which CPU?
because they are why Disney Star Wars and Hasbro are failing.
Why? aren't all the minorities and women watching it? wasn't it not made for us anyway?

He needs to get swatted so cops will check his HD.

The gamecollecting sub was better before the switch consoomers happened.

And before it started treating soyboys who just compulsively purchase every new release at full price (or old release at full price because Nintendo) as collectors.

This guy is currently about 400 (full priced) games short of catching 'em all, with more being released every day. Can he do it?

I don't know if this is real, but saw it on Discord.

If it is true, I can't tell if it's more damning for the state of iPad kids, or consoomer culture.

I don't know who the guy on the right is, but on the left that looks like LGR. Not what I'd call a consoomer. Especially given his harsh criticism of The Sims 4.

These are the same fuckers lecturing you about global warming and your carbon footprint.

And this:

Why don't you get a job and buy your own games you useless waste of space? and lol "other hobbies are expensive" yeah and more respectable too, try going to any social venue and saying you spent over $87000 on games for a kiddy handheld, they will either laugh at your stupid ass or cringe at your autism. Meanwhile the guy in the used $20000 porsche cayman is at least getting some ass, you know how many chicks are impressed by your bing-bing wahoo collection? less than zero, and no trannies don't count.
Dual Xeon E7-4830, 2.13GHz. I was wrong on core/thread count; each CPU is 8 core, so a total of 16 cores and 32 threads.
4th gen? can't find any benchs for that specific model, got any numbers?

First gen. Numbers aren't too impressive. It basically hangs with a Ryzen 5 5500. So in a system with two of them, imagine it basically having two Ryzen 5's. Supposedly it's 12.5% as fast as a 96-core server Threadripper.

So he's certainly not the fastest beast out there, but perfectly fine for a home lab. And still a steal for twenty bucks :)

Yoooo what the fuck is a mighty maniax figure doing in this article's preview pic? God fucking save us if this article leads to lego consoomer level price gouging beyond current scalper stuff on Glyos stuff. Can't remember if I brought up this shit in another thread but there's like a few groups of various independent artists that for like well over a decade now have been kinda making these little modular PVC figurines they call "Glyos" they release in really limited numbers every few months or every year or so depending on what sub-group of guys made them. It's kinda well known online still in hobbyist/art guy circles I think but seeing that next to star wars and lego while talking about "consumer statistics" feels weird and wrong to me.

This is based on a wild guess from the average Switch game from this May ($27.30), probably not accurate at all, but that collection is worth approx. $39,939.90. Nearly 40k spent on games that'll just sit in their boxes until they eventually degrade. Way to go! 🥂
I would like to point out that these seem like the kind of posters that were probably cheering on Yuzu being officially out of commision and essentially trying to get rid of the emulation community as a whole.

Seeing big Nintendo Switch collections has had me slightly rethink owning this much games from that era, since most of them either end up being remakes or rehashes of popular video game franchises (Fire Emblem, Zelda, Mario) that no one else would have the time to play.
