You'd be correct. There is no real evidence of either the Woltjer's or Sletta's being wealthy. They do seem to be genuinely good people, however. Which just adds to the bizarre behavior of Kayla.

Perhaps they have nice 401ks or pensions, like a lot of boomers of their age, but it's nothing remotely close to Rekieta wealth. By all appearances they look to be fairly middle class.
