Homeowners insurance is probably insane too. People are being denied housing loans right now all over California because big companies are completely exiting the state and some people are buying with cash and going "naked" without insurance at all. Rates have been soaring since before covid due to the fires. It doesnt even matter if the house is located in a hot zone for fires, insurance companies seem to divide the risk across the state.
