We're discussing this very question. The way cocaine gets into hair when used means that it is on the inside of the strand. The hair is washed before the test, which reduces the strength of false positives from contact contamination but does not eliminate them. The test comes in 2 stages, the first, an antibody test, will detect whether there is cocaine on or in the hair sample. The second looks for signs that there are cocaine metabolites in the hair, indicating the cocaine was deposited by the bodily process rather than contamination. I'm not convinced the CPS report confirms the second test was performed, but if it was, she had to have ingested the coke.

KF have been on Nick's trail for the past two years but they've always been several steps behind him on that trail, while a lot of what's coming out was predicted by kiwis, the true horrorcow shit, the stuff we hadn't yet picked up on but were beginning to suspect only came about in the past 6 months and was revealed in the last month. I tend to think that Kayla was unable to handle the nine year old after the nanny left so kept her dosed on alcohol at night and cocaine in the day so she could watch star trek in peace, but who knows what other horrors are lurking beneath the Rackets stone. I wouldn't rule it out.
It could have lasting effects, yes, but it really depends on how much and how often the kid was ingesting it. Statistically, she’s much more likely to become an addict herself. Ask any alcoholic/drug addict when they first used, and more often than not, it’s going to be at a very young age and they got access due to the parents. Just a really sad situation all the way around.
I want to hear nick defend himself by saying the cocaine was out in the open often enough that his kids were rolling around in it.

Sorry for not being clear, that part is just an assumption but if they're giving her cocaine then I wouldn't put it past them to give her alcohol as well.
Hair follicle testing has a much longer window of detection compared to urine or blood testing. The drug metabolites are incorporated into the hair as it grows and just stays there. CFS is using hair testing cause they want to get a picture of exposures over the last several months or more, blood and urine testing would only show recent days’ exposure.
