it sets up the order's stagnation and current position through a period of nothing major going down, and that includes dark siders who aren't 'technically' Sith, after the Sith were believed to be wiped out.
I think there's plenty of room for non sith dark siders in the era before the prequels.
Were plenty of interesting EU storylines about witches, failed jedi, local cults, and force sensitive warlords and criminals causing trouble.
The issue is having a red lightssaber wielding pseudo sith lord threatening the jedi order.
The old EU was careful to ensure that after the 1000 year mark before the movies there were no existential threats, merely regional ones who were nuisances for the jedi and the republic

On a small scale, yeah, but Disney doesn't have the patience for small scale skirmishes that are insignificant in the grand scheme of things, so you're gonna be getting a lot of big conflicts that don't leave a lot of room for the jedi to grow so complacent; especially when many of their current members were still active during the High Republic era. The fuck's the point of the Sith keeping their existence hidden if the jedi are just gonna ignore them so long as they don't explicitly identify themselves as Sith?

If the current Star Wars writers didn't bother using the logic and lore in The Acolyte and before that, why bother now when they can just pull a new bullshit reason from their ass?
Pretty much. According to Xitter, Wookipedia (or whatever it is called these days) has already rewritten Mundi's bio.

Just one really, and it's a good one. The end of Rogue One.
Even the Battle of Scarif quickly falls apart and turns to shit if comparing it to the OT and PT battles. Like the Rebel pilots being retarded to attack a planetary shield when those have been around for ages and last seen during the Battle of Corusant. Same shield type trapping thousands of kilometer long capitol ships from escaping. The two star destroyers being butt up on each other throughout the whole battle without putting any space between them. Then there's CGI artists forgetting the Star destroyers have weapon emplacements all along inside the "trench" and more emplacements on the ventral side (bottom) as well. Thirdly not raising their shields at all when they realize the rebels really are going to attack them. Four or so Y-Wings knocking out a star destroyer when in the pre-Disney SW, they would've done just localized damage. And that's not counting the EU or the older WEG era EU. Where it wasn't until B-Wings were made and brought into service was when snubfighters alone could threaten shielded Imperial star destroyers. And B-wing pilots still needed the combined firepower of a full squadron to do.

Not to mention the guy who took out Vader's flagship with a kamikaze A-Wing attack. The Clone Wars were about as far back in history during all of these events as the 90's are for us today.

Those close and there's close enough to see (and smell) whether your commending counterpart on opposing bridge has had shart himself within the last hour.

I don't follow Star Wars but can anyone give me a quick rundown of the Headlamp woman and her relationship with her sister? From reading random YouTube comments, they don't speak. One comment said Headlamp used to inappropriately touch her?

So if scenes such as the Wookie fight/death scene were removed to cut costs and preserve the story, then what are they using the $180 million/episode (or was it season?) budget on?!

Probably an endless amount of middle management/script-writing team members who sit around and come up with ridiculous nonsense like Force Lesbian Births.

So after finding out about the super spoopy and scary kylo ren knockoff the shills are desperately trying to hype as the circus burns around them, I had a bleak realisation as to who it probably is....

.....ok im so lazy im not even gonna bother spoilering my suspicions.

Its gonna be fucking Palpatine again.

I mean its literally the most unfathomably retarded fucking thing they conceivably could do.......

.....ok make that the second most unfathomably retarded fucking thing they conceivably could do which at this point is a very good guide for how things are gonna go.

Which means the end of the show will likely involve him killing Darth Plagueis in his sleep because REMEMBER PREQUELMEMES GUIZ!!! is shit these speds have been falling back on for five years now

180 mill per episode or for the full season? For each episode sounds insane.
The whole legal and commercial machinery behind the star wars franchise has probably become so large that it's now impossible to spend any less money on anything they throw out. No wonder it didn't make a profit yet.
Maybe we are lucky and they cancel some more shows after this disaster. They accomplished the near-unthinkable: people not being excited about new star wars content anymore.

It's $180 million for the season. It is still way too much for what is on the screen.

Oh god, you people have no idea.
I fucklng need to share this with you.

So as you might know, I occasionally do written reviews. Usually I do games, or more commonly, things that are pretending to be games, but occasionally, I cover like like How to Destroy a Man Now, as well. Back in 2022, a Kiwi - I can't for the life of me remember who - sent me this hilariously awful book in PDF format called the Sisterwitch Conspiracy and begged me to review it, and the only reason I didn't is because my computer died.

However, before it did, I did get the chance to read it - and the book was was almost transcendently bad.
Now the more perceptive among you might go: "Jaimas, the fuck does this have to do with Star Wars? Did you take all your meds at once again?"
While the answer to the last question is yes, hear me out on this one, because Uncle Jaimas is about to take you to realms for which you are unprepared.

The entire plot of the book is that witches foretold a time when, via a power they knew as "the thread," males would ultimately cease to exist and the entire male-dominated world would come undone. The writer of the book, Sonia Johnson, is an excommunicated former Mormon who is also a rabid feminist, and also out of her fucking mind, and even now in her 80s she keeps to believing this book is less a work of sci-fi and more an inevitable religious occurrence.

......What I am saying is that this shitty episode openly ripped off an obscure insane feminist's equally insane writing, and the only reason I know this is because one Kiwi - I want to say it was @Coldgrip, but I cannot for the life of me remember - threw it at me and told me to review it.
I went looking for this last night, and I couldn't find it on libgen or through google, but on the internet archive there was a copy and you could rent it for an hour. I didn't have enough time to read 240 pages in an hour, but i read the first 40 or so and then skimmed the rest of it looking for something and you're on to something. the show's philosophy seems informed by it. what does this sound like to you? sounds like the force to me.
