Never mind the fact that, in cases of custody battles women that were abused tend to lose more, because jury seems them as "unreliable narrators and that even if they do win custody battles or get more from the divorce, they still have start from scratch, especially if they have children, because even with money and resources given to them by court from divorce, 99% of the times they can't really maintain the current lifestyle.
