Overwatch

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Blizzard needs to hire some smart people to tell them how to teach the game to their players, because the vast majority of the player base doesn't grasp basic, basic shit. They might also want to put down a top-down minimap for team awareness.
  • Nobody uses cover south of diamond. They stand in the open instead of using cover.
  • Nobody knows to push forward when space is made, they are mentally trained to follow an out of position fight and only move forward if the fight is finished. If the fight is happening too far ahead, they sit there like retards and get mad at you for saying "nobody is in front of you, move up."
  • Nobody understands bubbles and shields are breakable, or the time needed to do so, especially if the team focus fires. Damage and health were buffed, but shields were not. 200 hp bubbles and 300 hp ice wall columns are easy as fuck to break! BREAK THEM!
  • Nobody understands focus fire. They think it's 5 individual games at the same time. Zarya makes everyone's dick fall off (but not in a gender affirming way) because of a 200 hp bubble.
  • Nobody knows what they can and should do for themselves:
    • Everyone expects peeling for duels - not team dives, just duels - despite having abilities that let them take care of themselves, tons of guides saying to do it, custom codes to practice it without needing someone to practice with, and streamers to watch almost 24/7.
    • Why does Ana have sleep and nade? Why does Kiriko have teleport and suzu? Why does Moira have fade? Why does Lucio have boop and speed? What is Brig's whipshot for? Zen is designed to be the diving target but shit out damage and buff his team's damage, but that's the cost of playing him, you have to position very well and also understand you eat dives, period.
    • They think tanks are there to to stop them from dying or taking damage. This is not a tank's job.Tanks are not shield bearers, or they would be called shield bearers.
    • Tanks are there to be a distraction that forces enemy attention, not to stop you from being punished because the tank can't be everywhere at once and you were out of position, did not use cover, didn't go to a support or health pack when damaged and had time to go, but instead they went out to fight more, and died.
    • They don't know how to time engages, the notion of tempo is beyond them. They can't wait until the tank does something to then go in with the enemy team distracted. Likewise, they'll watch a tank engage and never join them, and then whine that the tank can't win a 1v5.

People are cheating at OW2? lol Imagine getting caught playing OW2!

From Flats yt -
Reddit will tell you how it's not actually a problem because very small % of players do it and they always get banned. A while ago I posted a clip here of some random e-thot twitch recommended who was 100% aimbotting in high elo live on stream triggering her aimbot on and off with 800 people watching.

played a few rank games. man, people suck at this game now in lower ranks. i was dominating most of the games. got silver (shit) rank 1

Damn that is just messed up also no showing of Overwatch Season 11, I think Microsoft are going to slowly kill financial support to the game now and hard reboot it in a few years. It was the only AB game not shown too.

Microsoft haven't hard rebooted nearly any property they've owned for nearly a decade and haven't been "hands on" with any sub-studios they've purchased.

OW2 is going to taper off because Blizzard is tapering off - they canned their new game, OWLeague is dead/dying, SC2 may as well not exist along with HOTS, WoW is slowing down, Hearthstone is closing modes, and so on. It's most likely a pre-acquisition item but Blizzard has been doing extremely badly for a very long time - and Bobby Kotick was probably looking to straighten them out until the MS acquisition started getting traction.

I would genuinely love to see how their teams are managed, I assume a lead is nominated then that lead assigns a co-lead then each week the co-lead is reported to then the leads report together then to upper management. As you can tell already that is a comms nightmare and really easy to withhold information from. We know from insider leaks that financially OW2 is making hardly anything. The teams have a commission bi-annually where earnings from tie-ins etc are split up and added to a bonus. Cancer mercy for example we know raised millions and the staff were given a cut of it. An insider reported that they received 0 last year which the SERAPHIN and One punch collabs were under. Hearthstone only earned like 15 million last year which is shocking. I believe like others said these 2 teams are going to get nuked. I think it won't be a taper though but a hard drop the potato. Microsoft is already pissed with the ABK acquisition because it was not correctly communicated with the main body of how much was being spent. Lead MS team have told gaming to make up the incoming costs etc by dropping projects and IPs immediately.

Pink Mercy is coming back.

Blizzard is re-running the BCRF event again and is selling the original pink skin at 15 bucks. All proceeds going to the charity fund. (Archive )

They also are launching a bundle with a pink gold recolor, alongside some sprays, icons and three player cards. For 20 bucks.

Are the two skins sold separately? I wish I would've bought this a few years back. OW2 is not the same as OW1 was.

SC2 may as well not exist
SC2 has been on maintenance mode for years, with occasional updates and things to the competitive play; which the only notable changes were fixing a bug about the Colossus's range after upgrading and the Void Ray's speed. All Blizzard needs to do is keep the servers on and the competitive scene will not stop; the problem is, Blizzard doesn't have their fingers in the SC2 pie like they wanted with Overwatch and Hearthstone. I found out WoW's getting another expansion and Diablo 4 is getting, whatever the fuck this thing is; the WoW expansion may make some money, but unless their internal numbers really do say otherwise, they'd dump Diablo 4 if they knew what was good for them.

SC2 died for two specific reasons.
- Only 1/3rd of the campaign existed on launch and wasn't very good.
- One of the most restrictive EULAs to ever exist on top of one of the most litigious companies at the time meant no user support through custom maps. No lurker defense, no RPGS, no DOTA, no really new and clever thing some guy cooked up in his basement - the sort of thing that still gives SC:BW life today.

You try and play this game for a bit between finishing a game and before starting a new game, and it's nothing but fucking idiots who don't know how to play who might actually be retarded vs a premade 4 stack. This continues to where you keep losing only to win when the other team just has one person constantly leave. Nothing you do matters when supports negate everything and tanks don't die.

The most frustrating thing in coming back to this game every two weeks or so is the game is easily salvageable, but they just don't want to. And it's not an actual money issue, these are simple changes to damage and healing and cooldowns that could be done in a week. There's a reason people went from joking to serious that the porn makers care more about the game than Blizzard.

Based on the lawsuit, extremely assmad.

Which is sad - because a lot of games come out of fan projects, small teams, or mods. Counter Strike was a mod, Team Fortress was a mod, Undertale came from a Earthbound Romhacker, Stardew Valley was just remaking Harvest Moon and so on.

Their greed was/is shocking in the industry - so shocking it quickly turned their rep from one of the best to one of the worst.

That Moira(?) skin is cool.

But when you're charging people $40 for a battle pass, it better contain a helluva lot more than one good skin.

Edit: Its actually Ashe.
