This is an important point though, according to reports they were surprised to see his car on the road and had to ask an officer in the convoy to pull him over while the rest continued on, they were not expecting to drive past him on the road. They had the timing of the raid planned beforehand so it's not as if they had a cop on the ridge with binoculars waiting for Nick to pull out of the driveway. Detaining him seemed more like a spur of the moment (and perfectly legal) decision than any kind of thoughtful conspiracy.I dont think detaining Nick away from the house while the warrant was executed was all that unusual.
