Are you lost needing femoid advice post here - For the poor bastard's who dare or are just curious

Best of all, he found a seemingly also autistic woman through one of those apps.
Cute but not thin (not fat though by Murican standards) , natural redhead, very nice skin.
She’s into video games, anime, fantasy wizards and necromancer shit, and apparently has had a lifelong fear of speaking to boys then men.
Not to shit on your parade but sounds very similar to what I had a couple months back and I had to run like fucking hell in the end. Being afraid of speaking to the other sex is always a giant flashing warning sign no matter if you're a man or a woman, and "autism" is often misused as a substitute term for "mental illness".
Your friend's woman is probably a bit older though which means she should be more stable than that, hopefully.

I swear in dating apps 90℅ of the women are the following:
1. Some kind of medical profession
2. Dog mom
3. Ski trip photo
Bonus points if they're fat, have ugly nose piercings, or show off their ass or cleavage. The bonus points are automatic disqualifications.
I love my cats but I wouldn't say I'm a "cat dad", that shit is cringey and a red flag to me.

I'm curious to the ladies in the thread, what would be an automatic disqualification for you on a dating app?

So we have to own multiple properties, be physically fit, have no weird hobbies, and have a healthy family to land a nerdy, "not thin" spud on Tinder? The future is bright!
Don’t be bitter about it, this guy has NEVER had a girlfriend before this and he’s 30.
Not even a barely counts girlfriend, none.

Does any of that really count when he said that women on dating apps aren’t interested in men that don’t make tons of money and aren’t a doctor or lawyer?

The point is to improve yourself for a future partner and put yourself out there.
Over and over.
Don’t write it off as “women are shallow whores so I don’t need to try anyways”, because you and I both know there are women who are NOT shallow whores, you just have to make yourself an appealing partner women can grow with.
Don’t be an anti social weirdo that obsesses over the things you think you don’t have.

Now imagine this was written by woman with some things replaced with male generic shit like fishing photos, and nothing written. I am sure you wont be screaming you are going to die alone to them .

No you are piece of shit and i wont tell you how to entrap a woman worth a damn. The quality you attract is the reflection of your own quality now go seeth to the woman hate thread about women being fat shallow whores.

If I was to suddenly be single again and back in the dating pool.

An instant "no" from me on a dating profile would be talking about anime or gaming, even though both of these things are also somewhat of a hobby for me, if you are a 30+ year old man who seriously does not have anything better to offer when describing his interests, I'm out.

(Disclaimer being I would also not put these on my profile as I have other more social and normal hobbies I can speak about.)

Sorry I don't want to date fatties, I wouldn't expect a women to want to date a fat man either. I don't like facial piercings, but some guys might not mind it or even like it ( I will question your tastes though). I don't think showing off your ass or tits is a good sign of character. Just like a man showing off his body isn't either. The 3 things I pointed out is more of an observation then a complaint, though calling yourself a dog mom is a bit weird.

Agree, especially anime. Indicates to me that mom likely still does his laundry for him. Creative hobbies are a green flag, though—my boyfriend is an animator and I think that’s just the neatest thing.

I also skip over guys who have huge dogs in their PFPs or whatever. Lots of men seem to have caught on that women are interested in their animals, so I used to see it pretty often. I like animals, too, but I don’t really date casually, so the idea of a shitbull in my future is extremely unappealing.

What’s wrong with medical professions? Some have odd hours, yeah, but many also make a decent living for themselves. Genuinely curious, not being smarmy.

I don't hate women, it was just a somewhat off topic thing that I then followed up with a question, because I am curious.

Nothing at all. I just notice it. I assume it's because they have crazy hours and don't have time to go out and do stuff regularly, so they resort to dating apps. I get it. Should have worded what I said better.

Having (briefly) worked with and around medical professionals in the past:

For some reason the women (particularly nurses) have a strong predilection for ending up with physically abusive men who are effectively big walking talking red flags with a pulse (face tattoos and perpetual scowl type shit). I suspect it is some kind of mal-functioning care giver instinct that makes them want to save broken men. An (un)surprising number of them end up as political lesbians living on acreages with a pack of large dogs trained to rip and tear any scrotum that ventures with in a hectare of their abode.

The (heterosexual) men are often charming, being very comfortable around women as co-workers and friends, but are he-of-the-wandering-cock types who burn their way through the staffers. Lots of 40+ single men who still use dating apps are male nurses and EMTs.

The odd hours, shift-work, travel (particularly when starting) and high turn over can make it hard for them to make friends out side of the field and a large number of medical professionals are in to a hard partying lifestyle way past the age most give up on it. Still have some people I know from my brief stint and, years later, most of this is still true.

Adding onto this, it doesn't mean that you absolutely cannot be 100% degeneracy free (unless you want to date an NPC, which I think is just soulcrushing), but that those parts about you shouldn't be what you're solely known for
Ex: My ex was a huge weeb, but I didn't find out about it until we were dating for a month. Even if I was against it, at that point it wouldnt've mattered since I'd known everything else about them

I only take it as seriously as the post I’m responding to, and that was some serious self pitying negative talk.
Should I pretend it’s not?
No where in my post did I even mention myself.
I'm happy with myself, I'm sticking to a budget to get a house soon, am following a diet and exercise routine, and make enough to live comfortably without working long hours. Whether there's a woman in my life or not doesn't really matter, and I'm certainly not bitter about enjoying shit on my own.

From what I’ve heard it’s hard to know where it’s appropriate to approach women today, and after thinking about it it makes sense why under socialized or autistic men have an issue with that.
Dating apps sound like a horror nowadays and from what I’ve seen it can be grim, but I have a hope story.
Best of all, he found a seemingly also autistic woman through one of those apps.

I mean, that's the problem now isn't it? In your late 20s/early 30s as a socially inept dorky nerd, what natural social space is there to congregate to, online or IRL, if you weren't already part of one before? For both dudes and dudettes?

If it was still the 00s, it would be their local game workshops, comic books stores, cons, things of that nature and their online equivalents. But these days, I don't know with all the political stuff, troon invasion, among other things.

Even online dating would have been easier back then when you weren't competing with the entire world and the dating pool would have been people of similar statures (cat ladies and dorks).

Kind of off topic-ish. But to any woman-kiwi reading, at what point in time in the dating stage would you be willing to travel with a guy/girl?

For instance, I recently went to the Riviera Maya with a girl I'm dating. We were dating for almost three months and I was kind of hesitant to invite her because I didn't knew if she was comfortable traveling with a guy she met three months ago. I would have gone with or without her either way. Yet, when I asked her if she wanted to come, I also asked (jokingly) if she would have been down to travel with me a month after dating. She (seriously) responded "I would have tagged along after the second week of dating".

I don't know, this just got me thinking.

Once you have an established sexual relationship, so The Implication is out of the way. YMMV on when that is. Three months sounds fine tbh?
I assume this is a holiday of a week or so? I would say the shorter trip, and the more 'holiday' type a destination (a resort if you are going to a possible questionable country, a major city or major tourist destination elsewhere), the less serial-killer potential.
We went to Manchester on the National Express (lol) for a gig fairly early in our relationship. I assessed the chances that my nice boyfriend was going to murder me and chuck me in the canal, without anyone noticing, and then go to see Belle and Sebastian, as very low. I would have thought about it longer if he had proposed six months offgrid in the Australian outback. (This is lies. I am shit scared of everything that's not a koala that is native to Australia.)
But, you know, you were offering her a trip to the tourist traps of Cancun. That's pretty safe going. Any place that there's lots of people around to offer help/call police if you do turn out to be a psycho or try to disappear her will always be thought of as safer.

I love that you brought up The Implication, but this sounds appropriate.
If you’re serious about the woman and can tell she’s not just in it for vacations and being financially pampered, it’s a nice couples activity for a short vacation.

Also a good way to see in mini version what it would be like to cohabitate with them.
