It is highly unlikely that internal Twitch policy allows sharing of DMs to anyone inside the company, and there are probably policies limiting who can read them and why. My best guess is that nothing he did comes close to criminal, and the way it was found, plus the fact it was sat on for three years, could potentially open Twitch to a lawsuit if they just cut him off, so they decided the best course of action was to split and pay out the rest of his contract.

Does anyone see any explicit falsehoods? Flaws? Or obvious BS? Or is it plausible?

The biggest deviation I see are:
* Dr. Disrespect himself declared the messages as "sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate."
* Dr. Disrespect said that the messages were in 2017. This anon says that the messages were "from many many many weeks prior to his last stream. 2-3 years seems to be much larger than many many many weeks.

Also, he says 17. There are unsubstantiated rumors that she was 15. But none of that could be verified. Perhaps the messages started at the age of 15.

Perhaps Dr. Disrespect is lying or deceiving us about these messages being from 2017 from back when he got nailed for cheating on his wife. If these messages were from 2020 and his wife that he cheat on and made him publicly apologize found out, and they were in fact inappropriate of a sexual or flirtatious realm, the wife just might divorce him now and take half the money, plus child support and alimony. 2017 was already addressed with his wife. 2020 would mean that he was continuing his behavior and not changed his ways.

So far nothing I’ve read feels substantial. There is some blood in the water, but it basically just feels like people chumming the water rather than anything real.

He disrespected his marriage, but his wife stayed with him. So I don’t think he fucked a minor. It mostly sounds that he might’ve been inappropriate with a minor in DM’s under the assumption they were older.

The Twitch issue was a civil trial that makes me think it was someone with an axe to grind blowing something up because of potential liability rather than criminal action. I think the main point of suspicion is the same shit with the genshin VA guy that got outed as a pedo due to his discords mod for several years saying he was and was consistently the last several years since they were modding the server. 1. This bit of gossip is OLD. Several years old. He's already apologized for it and it's even been resolved in court. His wife stayed.

2. It wasn't illegal. He wasn't charged and it sounds like a nothingburger. They must not be that young or it would've been brought with charges. It wasn't. Is it still inappropriate (at best) for a grown man to message a minor on any platform? Absolutely. Should he be shunned and exiled for it? No.

3. I'm not going to get into pedophilia vs ephebophilia but they are 2 different things. 17 year olds are a lot different than 13 year olds and behave differently online. Don't throw words around that are much worse simply because you don't like the guy. A 35 yo being attracted to a 17 yo is much different than a 35yo being attracted to a 13 yo.
