A staffer eh? OK, for those who missed the saga so far, Sophie (Euan Weddell) got himself selected as a Green candidate for Gordon and Buchan which is a new constituency (there is quite a big update in constituency borders in the present UK election) but his unhinged behaviour on X (hectoring/insulting/threatening Joanna Cherry and JKR) became too much even for the Greens and they sacked him.

After a quick moment of despair he has crowdfunded a few hundred quid and is now running as independent in Aberdeen South. (Not sure why as he appears to be based in Edinburgh.)

He has no staffers, it's just him and his boyfriend. Pure vanity candidacy.



(This is surprisingly common in the UK. On top of novelty candidates with a costume and persona, you always find a bunch of people running on a single issue or just to LARP as a politician, attend hustings and the count etc... It really is as dumb as that and it is as far as they think this through.
