I've always told myself in an active shooter scenario I'd do everything I could to kill the attacking party. I'll probably die either way but at least, they'll have this awesome clip of me charging a guy with an AR-15 and trying to beat them to death with a random object like fire extinguisher or stab them with with a broken bottle. Either way I've promised myself I will die like a man when the time comes. I always admired people like Hunter S Thompson who was legitimately mentally ill but blew his brains out rather than die like an old man wasting away. If I'm ever diagnosed with stage 4 cancer or something without a chance I'm going to set aside at least $10,000 for coke fentanyl and Sildenafil. I will then find go through hookers and drugs like I'm trying to die.

A muslim tried it during Brenton Tarrant's rampage and instantly met his 72 virgins. If you have any choices at all, I'd recommend making 'charging the man with an AR-15" your last one.

I think the Maine shooting from last year had a few guys at the bowling alley try rushing him and just getting mowed down as they charged. Unless you’re already within a few feet of the guy when they start shooting, it’s probably best to just run.

I live in a tower block. When I moved in my dad insisted that I buy a climbing rope and belay clip in case of a fire. I bought it just to satisfy him but that inferno video makes me think I should take absailing classes or something.

I can very much relate these sentiments. I do overnight shifts at a hotel, front desk. I work in a neighborhood, where something really shitty is not likely to go down, but we're close enough to Philly that you just never know. If some ferals came by to rob the place, I'd try to sneak out if at all possible, but if cornered, I'm going to take the "charge the motherfucker with a bat and let god sort out the rest" option. Mainly because we have cameras inside and outside the building, and I have 2 sons. If there's a chance at all that they might see the footage (likely at the murder trial of the dindu that killed my ass) I absolutely do not want them to see their old man cowering in a corner begging for my life. I figure, once they pull a gun, I'm dead anyhow.

Fucking Amen. I hate to power level constantly here but the first tattoo I ever got was Molon Labe. Because I won't hesitate to attempt to beat someone to death with my bare hands if it's him or me. In a perfect world I'd have a firearm and it would be a fair match but, as I said I wouldn't' hesitate to beat someone to death with anything heavier than my hand if it's all I've got. About a decade ago I put the fear of God into a nigger who brought a knife to gunfight. Stupid nog tried to catch me off guard with a fairly big kitchen knife about 12-14" with a wooden handle, he drew from tucked into his left hand waistline. Dark alley in dark neighborhood, never seen one run so fast in my life. I knew if I didn't make him live to regret pulling a knife on me I couldn't wake up the next morning look myself in the mirror long enough to even shave.
