He then brings up the Belenciaga/ US supreme court court case thing that caused a massive scandal when the fashion company Belencianga inserted this court case about cartoon child porn into a ad campaign. This is one of his favorite defenses.
6:30-7:45 Rev: Japan has problems *vice shows graph of massive amounts of victims of child porn, and barely any arrests*, but the WEST is WORSE GUYS.
7:36-10:40: Vice interviews a pedophile that is seemingly pretty repentant and wants to stop more people from becoming monsters like him. He was exposed to Lolicon in porn mags. Rev pauses the video because he knows he can't spin this shit. He tries making it out as the guy was always going to do it and not that the lolicon porn didn't give him just a little push.
10:40- 13:09: Vice talks with a Tokyo Assembly Member, Minoru Ogino, who is apparently a manga artist. He is on team loli and is skeptical of Lolicon's effects on child abuse. While he at least is diplomatic in the interview, Rev goes full gunt guard, and cites "Muh Democracy" unironically, also "free speech." At least the politician gets paid for this Rev! And has voters to please which presumably know hes a manga artist and as such voted for him! What the fuck is your excuse!
The remainder is rev bitching that the comments are turned off. They turned it off because shit heads like you would spam it about your taste in Cunny and your RIGHTS to have it. That was 15 minutes of my life i'm never getting back. There are 3 other videos after this, but this was his direct reaction to the Vice article. The short answer to the "why big eyes tho" question is that it's an easy way to make faces more expressive without having to do a lot of (time-consuming!) work on other facial features while producing on an unforgiving schedule. To use examples from American comics, the faces in "Rex Morgan, M.D." were always a lot more detailed than those in "Garfield," but I bet you can remember the various expressions from Garfield just fine, while Rex Morgan faces felt emotionally muted unless someone was shocked (in which case you can use more gross facial movements, including widening the eyes).
