I think Josh needs a self defense Flak Cannon, but to be honest he couldn't go too wrong by camping the Redeemer spawn either.

Just installed a volquartsen trigger group into the ol' 10/22, really love the trigger. However it's mag release seems to catch the magazines so you can't reload without trouble, big pain in the ass.

Since @Null asked for it, I will make actual recommendations that others are free to correct or challenge me on:

For a 9mm get a Glock. They are like the Honda Civic of the gun world. They are affordable, everywhere, get the job done, and have so many options. There are better handguns out there, for sure, but for someone who's just getting started I think Glock would be the best to start off with. Their magazines are used in a good number of 9mm carbines too, if you wish to go down that route.

For a shotgun, I would recommend not spending a thousand dollars on a semiauto Berretta. $300-500 pump will do the job just fine. 12 gauge shells are stupid easy to find. One pellet of double aught buckshot is comperable to a .32 pistol round so shooting an intruder in your home with one of those is the same as shooting them with 8-9 shots from an old police revolver. It will get the job done. A slug will also get the job done.

For a rifle, the AR platform is pretty ubiquitous across the US and you will find 5.56 almost everywhere too. You can even build your own like legos that will shoot a projectile at almost 3,000 feet per second. Foregoing that I would recommend a Rugger 556, Smith and Wesson M&P 15, or one of Pallmetto State Armory's ARs. A 15 inch barrel should suit your needs just fine. If you want a heavier round then you can move up to the 7.62/.308 which come in either AK flavor or AR as the AR-10. I've found that the AK is far more available than the AR-10.

Do not get a 50 BMG. The gun is not a sniper rifle. It is an antimaterial rifle. Not only is just the gun heavy as hell, it's not incredibly accurate either. If you want to get a true sniper's accuracy from a gun like that you will have to custom tool your own bullets, not just pour lead into a mold. To make any kind of good use of a weapon like that you would need a look out tower and a field of view that covers about a half mile of unobstructed terrain. If you truly want to reach out and touch something then I suggest looking into something chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I would not be too worried about the Tranch boys and their plates. If they come with level 4 I think black tip 50 BMG is the only thing that's gonna pierce that. However, the kinetic energy that is gonna transfer from your shotgun or rifle to the plate and then to their soft tissue is gonna be pretty bad. Broken ribs are going to be the least of their concerns because while they are gasping for breath from tanking that first shot you have already chambered another round and can now continue to focus on where you hit or aim somewhere less protected.

That last bit is purely hypothetical because a real firefight isn't something you can fully prep for. If someone breaks in and you open fire, you are not going to be in the right state of mind. Your blood will be pumping, your adrenaline will be surging, you will be deafened from firing your weapon inside with out protection. If you're not prepped then you're gonna be standing in your house with your dick in your hand, not knowing what to do. To help alleviate this I recommend looking like a weirdo and doing drills/practice runs whenever you find a place. I do not recommend setting up booby traps because they are legally dubious to very illegal everywhere. Troons break into your house and they get a face full of fishhooks or a blow torch to the neo vag or step on a homemade bouncing betty then it will be your ass. Having said that, you can go onto Amazon and order hard copies of field manuals from different branches of the US military on many different topics. Do with that what you will.

Yes it is. Barretts (M82, the semi auto) are 9k and up, last I looked. And this is a fancier one in bullpup form. And still thirty pounds. And you're not going to be shooting it like the example video without a lot of gun time under your belt. The concussion of firing one indoors would be best described as 'apocalyptic' for anyone not used to it. And it's a long-recoil action (like the Barrett) so when you shoot it it's going to change its center of balance back and forth as the ENTIRE FUCKING BARREL whips back and forth, putting you well off target each shot.

Buy handgun. Buy 5.56 AR, get used to that. Move up to 308 of reputable make if you feel the need. Your NFA bux ($200 for each item) would then be best spent on a can to make firing it indoors less stressful. Most importantly, go shooting with all of them. Your average .50BMG round packs about ten times the kinetic energy into it as a 5.56 NATO round. That means everything is big, heavy, lots of machining, expensive.

Josh just get a good PCC or ar pistol and invest in a suppressor so you dont go deaf


For like 2k you could get a great non meme set up with a suppressor red dot flashlight etc on a 14.5 inch ar pistol
