It's purely anecdotal, and maybe a medkiwi can shed some light, but it might be hormonal to a degree. The women I know who have PCOS (and are without exception very fat) claim they wake up ravenous for sweets at night, similar to some (most?) women who will face an unbearable urge to eat sweets when on their periods. People with thyroid problems often claim the same, which again links it to some hormonal issue.

That said, it's probably just coincidence because fat people will stuff their faces and blame hormonal imbalances all the time. I certainly wouldn't put up with having to snack at night and see a doctor about it, unless I secretly enjoyed being a fat pig....

She's had a complete hysterectomy. Unless I am really mistaken, that precludes PCOS or a hormonal issue. I've heard testosterone can make you hungry, but I may be mistaken (and the amount she takes is fairly small). However, I don't think it's actual hunger that's an issue, I think it's habit. Snacking is just something the does for no reason.

Did she go back in time for her hormone test? Because I do remember in the early 2000’s you did have to fast for lipid panel, and they took like 4 oz of blood for the test. But now they just take like 1 extra 10 mL tube and no fasting is necessary, most of the time.

I think when you're pre-diabetic (fat, lazy, family history of diabetes) they take your fasting blood sugar to see if you have high blood sugar levels. The doctor could totally be trying to see if Stephanie, who's had serious weight gain lately, has diabetes.

The test for that is different - glucose challenge test. Basically you show up fasting, they take blood sugar, the the medical people give you a goblet of sugar water to consume all in one go, and after that they test again at 15, 30, and 60 mins to see how the patient responds to the sudden addition of sugar. I figure Staph would have mentioned the part about the sugar drink if that was what the team was doing - and while there are multiple draws, each one is just a pinprick with a teeny amount of blood taken.

Just a brief update before July begins.

Starting on or near the new moon (July 5th), I will be starting a strict tutelage under Grandmother Mugwort.

I am calling this a “mock dieta,” because even though it will look like the dieta I went on before with Meadowsweet, I no longer ascribe to the idea of “generalized shamanism.” Although plenty of white practitioners feel that they can treat shamanism as a smorgasbord of wisdom that they can pick and choose from, I do not agree with this. The word “shaman” exclusively belongs to the indigenous peoples of Siberia, and was first recorded by Russian-Cossacks exploring the region in the late 1600s. As with any Western colonialists making contact with indigenous tribes, the shamans were regarded as backwards savages with outdated views. In actuality, they were carrying out deep ethnoreligious traditions whose oral histories went back thousands of years.

I am proud to have learned the techniques of trance work and journeying within my ancestral traditions of druidry and seiðr. These are the ones I will study and gain wisdom from. I will not steal from a culture that is not mine.

Thus, for the lunar cycle of July, I will try my best to communicate with Mugwort with as little distractions as possible, outside of mundane obligations. I will be filming and posting vlogs once a week (hopefully) on how things are going, but I will avoid (most) social media. 1) It became a discussion item in 2013 bc Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) cited research asserting that fetuses masturbate as a reason to ban abortion. This snippet of the paper - from PubMed and in an OBGYN journal - about supposed masturbation and orgasm by a 3rd-trimester female reads like prurient fantasy, but here you go.

She's got to be implying her entire relationship with him has been while he's been "chained" (not actual chains, see below) because Loki won't escape until Ragnarok, aka the end of the world, during which Loki will die (as will every other human being, save for two).

"Masc" and "femme" are short for masculine and feminine in tranny speak, so she probably thinks that while she's taking the hormones to become hairier, develop a frog voice and a horrific "bottom growth" because she wants to be a man, saying she's trying to look androgynous justifies the hairdo and the colourful leggings.
