2024 Presidential Debates - The Biden-Trump rematch everyone has waiting for.

It's funny how they talk about mis/disinformation when it suits them and they can twist it to fit their needs.

This reminds me of Ivermectin and how the media loved to talk about how it was "horse dewormer" and that it wasn't safe or something like that. The media definitely killed any interest people had in Ivermectin, that's for sure. I have no idea if it helps people with Covid, but since the media hated it so much it got me thinking "hey, maybe this needs more research."
Anyways, I expect to see a lot of articles on how the media "debunks what Trump said during the June debate" in the following days/weeks.
OT, but Ivermectin is the shit.
If you ever travel to like South America and spend time in fly-ridden or mosquito-heavy areas and start coming down with weird rashes, bumps, etc., Ivermectin will basically nuke whichever parasite the bugs injected you with.

Kennedy would have easily drawn attention away from Biden.

I know we like to think the DNC or Trump are 2 parallel universes ahead of us in 4D chess but, this seems like simple incompetence.

I do not believe there is some grand strategy to make Biden unappealable so they can introduce a dark horse.

It is simply what you saw: Biden had a boo-boo. And Trump didn’t help himself by not shutting the hell up. But that’s just who he is.

He won't go. They're going to kill him.

Trump was legit super restrained by his standards

Well gee fuckface maybe they would have wanted to talk about it a year ago if the Democrats and media weren't concealing his decline then. The "Cheapfakes" thing shows that concealment effort never dropped and was never going to drop until the debate made it happen.

Dems: "We lied to you because we see you as idiot sheep to manipulate so now you are stuck with us, losers."

Dem Voters: "Yes, sir. Thank you, sir."

The discoverer of ivermectin won a Nobel prize for its use as human medicine.

Back on topic, i think the doomers still refusing to admit there is no grand plan might be funniest of all to me.

A funny article.

I Let My 9-Year-Old Watch the Debate. It Was a Mistake.

The whole thing is hilarious. She makes her daughter watch thinking Biden will own Trump, but the opposite happens and the daughter has to watch mom wither in pain. Lol. Lmao, even.
I naturally asked who we were supposed to be rooting for. “We’re Democrats,” my father said, in a tone that was tinged with disapproval, as if to even consider voting for the Republican was tantamount to betrayal of our values and ideals — of who we were.
In addition to indoctrinating my daughter into a lifetime of frustration and disappointment
This woman truly disgusts me. She straight up admits that she was indoctrinated into a single political affiliation and that she is indoctrinating her kid into a single political affiliation. I always generally knew that my parents were conservatives, but they never said that I had to be a conservative or that I had to vote Republican. It is vile to me when a parent who has any political affiliation mandates their child be indoctrinated into it rather than exercise the rational thought of a free enlightened society. What if her daughter converts to evangelical Christianity and becomes a Republican—is she suddenly not welcome as her daughter anymore? These people are fucking sick.

I'm all caught up with this thread, and realize not a single one of the usual suspects posted in this thread. Nothing. Not even a cent's worth of bait to stir shit up.

I didn't know silence could be this expressive. I guess the era where US presidents could make full coherent speeches after getting shot was a century ago now.

Happy election year burgers.

EDIT: Corrected a typo.

Why am I thinking of Regina George from Mean Girls and her brainless followers? Like really, every time she does something stupid or tacky, her clique, and by extension, the rest of the school follows.

Which is exactly how the party has been running itself for a while.

Same. On the other forum I check only two of the usual pundits are opining on the debate.

I'd like to believe that the others ran screaming into the woods as they realized they had been lied to for years and their entire world view was manufactured by the elites to keep them in line but that is the optimist in me. Realistically they are probably sulking in one of the Trump threads.

Unfortunately for them, too many people ignored this quote: "Never underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up." -Obama
I always thought it was interesting how the first time around Obama dragged his feet in endorsing Biden. It was quite funny how long it took. It’s almost as if he knew he’d fuck up the Democratic Party and the country.

To be honest if he wasn’t Obama’s VP, he wouldn’t be president. Biden won back some of the voters that previously voted for Obama twice. He also benefitted from never Trump republicans and the sort of people who were angry at Trumps tweets. To be honest I think their decision of kicking Trump off Twitter for such a long time benefited Trump. Previously they had the nostalgia of the Obama years but that faded quite fast.

I just watched the debate too. Biden looks so tired and old. Trump is pretty old too, but he still has the energy. I realized I had never watched a young Donald Trump speak, so I looked up some interviews from the 80's and 90's. He's always been the same guy. The Trump who spoke in 1987 on Larry King? It's like he time traveled in a wrinkled fat suit into '24.
That’s why it always seems disingenuous when someone tries to pull the “two old guys” card. Yes, they’re both old, but one acts and presents himself the same as always - albeit with more of an ego - while the other can barely keep up a conversation, let alone run a country.
