After the Dems' loss in 2004, Howard Dean managed to wrangle his way into DNC leadership, and switched to the 50-state strategy - meaning, instead of targetted focusing on battleground states (something that has not worked for the Dems in decades), they would run candidates in all 50 states. No one wanted fucking runs-as-a-Dem-but-governs-Neocon Lite. This vulnerability led to them taking enormous losses over the next three electoral cycles, ultimately losing control of congress in 2012.

Hillary is the biggest reason. She was granted pretty much unilateral control over the DNC after her loss in 2008, courtesy of her insane backers threatening to effectively upend their parts of the Dems if they weren't appeased (you can ask @AnOminous about this). The goal was making absolutely sure she couldn't lose the nomination in 2016 the way she had in 2008 when Obama slingshotted past her and secured such a massive advantage that her winning became mathematically impossible almost immediately. Hillary put a series of useful idiots in major party positions in the DNC, and she went forward with the full intention of excising any party element that wasn't completely loyal to her by cutting their funding off from the DNC while financing their primary opponents (who naturally, were loyal to Hillary). Hillary doing this utterly fucked the party's personnel apparatus, as it purged many of the lifer data-analyst types in favor of Progs who would do what they were told. Now factor in the massive economic costs Hillary herself and Obama forced onto the DNC and you have a hilariously underfunded agency staffed mostly with useful idiots, and "IT'S HER TURN!!" is the fucking reason for it.

The third reason is that Dem financiers (both big-ticket and the likes of Soros) and groups like the Justice Democrats, in direct response to what I posted above, began targetting the successors to the mainstay Dem leadership. Those big politicians were functionally untouchable, but the people they were grooming to take their place sure as shit weren't - these groups would be the ones who helped harpoon Anthony Weiner's career (he was being set up as Pelosi's heir-apparent), and when they succeeded, who they installed were hard-left crazies like AOC and the Squad, who both immediately purged normies at the local level, forcing the top brass to stay on longer, and in turn, made them more vulnerable to extortion - after all, these groups can kill off vulnerable pols with further primary challenges if they didn't toe the line.

All of this is entirely self-inflicted. Have no pity for them, they deserve none.

Right except for one thing; Justice Democrats and their ilk didn't kill Weiner' career; that was 100% Breitbart (and one of the chief reasons Breitbart got murdered. It was another Democrat Pelosi was grooming to replace her as Speaker that the Justice Democrats primaried out of his seat via running AOC.

Germans had an "ethnostate" (the correct term is "nation-state") prior to invading Poland, as did nearly everyone else in Europe. It was called "Germany." What Hitler wanted to do was purge Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus of their native populations and expand their living space eastward; this was communicated via Ribbentrop in I believe 1936. The English didn't agree with the Germans that Poles & Slavs are subhumans who have no real right to live anywhere.

I suppose you could compare it to the Jews' desire to purge the West Bank of its non-Jewish population, but the Jews have always pretended they don't want to ethnically cleanse the Christians & Arabs predating them. The idea that a nation-state is bad follows decades after WW2. I don't think it really gets going until the 1970s or 80s, as the UN charter formally codifies a nation-state as every people's right.

Well, they intended the Legislative Branch to be the most powerful as a general rule of thumb. They fumbled about with the Judiciary until the Supreme Court declared itself the final arbiter of the law and they certainly didn't want the Presidency to be as powerful as it has become. Everything in peacetime is supposed to be Legislative decisions, so they were always the most likely to become irreversibly corrupt by design.

England had been itching for war with Germany since the German economy started recovering in the 30's. Really, as soon as the Germans stopped abiding by the treaty limitations on their armed forces. They didn't give a single shit about the Poles as anything more than a pretext for war to knock the Germans back down. They thought it would be quick, cheap and almost effortless. After all didn't they have the Royal Navy and a vast Empire?

That is the complete opposite of what can be inferred from anything Ramsay MacDonald, Stanley Baldwin, or Neville Chamberlain did from 1929-1939, as well as the copious speeches, letters, and journals they left behind. Where are you getting your history of the interwar period from?

I'm trying to think hard about this but wouldn't "his family" just refer to 'Dr' Jill? I can't imagine him discussing this with Hunter in the room, or his grandchildren. What would they even tell him? chomo joe also has a corrupt brother who may be concerned with losing out on the gravy train, so I guess that guy might be at Camp David with them. Keep in mind that 'defeating Trump' conflicts with their other very important goal of enhancing their finances and status. They know that some Democrats have been thrown under the bus in the past (e.g. Brian Benjamin the former Lieutenant Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, Bob Menendez).

The concern that whoever would replace Biden would be willing to sacrifice the Biden Crime Family is something that makes me suspect 'Dr' Jill (and possibly chomo joe's brother) will encourage chomo joe with the same talking points you often see the libs spout to claim chomo joe will win -- "look, the polls were wrong in 2022 when they predicted a Red Wave, special elections look great for us, Fetterman had a terrible debate but still won, we have a ton of campaign funds, the people who work for us are really smart and talented, blomf has 34 felonies and is a rapist insurrectionist..."

While it is possible that chomo joe gets replaced, it's also quite possible that they obstinately stay on board.

edit: of course, it's also quite possible that his handlers are also going to be in there with his family, but if they had enough power to toss him aside why wait until now?
