Plagued Ruben Sim Derangement Syndrome - Because it's definitely a good look to attack a guy who takes down pedophiles.

Just as I posted this the guy's account got deleted. 🤔
Hot take, the gore isn't that big of a deal. If it's being used in games actually designated 17+ (which is where it's allowed), or just using it as a personal technical showcase, I see no problem with it.
Although the fact that it got deleted around that time is a bit suspicious...

Aren't other people making games where you can brutally run your friends over

Half of this is true, Roblox has a track record of not giving a shit about the sex pest nests on their platform
I mean, sex matters a little bit more than gore to them, as you can freely access gore when for sex you have to go out of your way for it, but I agree.

The issue is, gory games on Roblox have always been a thing, even before 17+. Neighborhood War for example, a game with the point of being gory, is rated 13+. It's cool as a technical showcase, however many of these games are freely accessible to children. Roblox is also terrible for gamedev (for many reasons). Then again, gore has always been accessible to children from the start of mankind, so it's always gonna happen.

I just find it interesting that many games on Roblox are based on games that are rated 17+ or are even banned in some countries and have gotten a shit ton of controversy from parents (e.g Neighborhood War being based off of POSTAL 2) yet Roblox allows children to join these games.

I know Roblox has cracked down on some games having gory thumbnails and icons and forcing them to change it.
Also, 13+ and 17+ games require age verification/ID to join I believe. I don't know about 13+, but I'm sure that 17+ games require it.

I am somewhat of an artist myself. I even drew over the "Hanz are we ze baddies" image and made it into my pfp on kiwi farms with MS paint. This whole "AI IS LE BAD... BECAUSE IT IS LITERALLY STEALING ART!!!1111!!!11!!!" is just complete, unadulterated, cope. No, nothing was stolen. Stolen implies scarcity, which does not exist for most things on the internet (not accounting for NFTs which have arguably been around since the hat market opened in tf2.). The image was "copied", with you STILL having it on your hard drive or cloud, put into a data model to train on multiple other people's work, then the said model put out for millions of people to use for FREE. Potentially freeing up an unquantifiable amount of time & money for millions of people on the internet. Do you genuinely want legislation for this? Do you want people to be criminally prosecuted because they "stole" something which wasn't even a scarce recourse in the first place? If you don't like AI, fine, whatever. You can consume human-made art on twitter in peace. But to be this vitriolic? Genuinely, can't you put that passion into your art or whatever other craftsmanship you pursue?
I always think artist are missing an opportunity with AI.
AI should be used as a tool that can benefit artists. Like if he we had AI that removed tedious shit like (for example), frame by frame animation. That could be a huge change for artists / animators.

I think using AI for tiny shit like thumbnails (like what Ruben Sim is doing) is something I personally do not care about and idk why people get angry over that.

I think artist are worrying too much on losing their jobs. The truth is, is that AI will never replace humans. Even if company’s fire artist because they have AI, that’s a retarded move because if they have technical issues with AI and they don’t have artists. Well they’re fucked.

Thumbnails only. not the games themselves. 13+ doesn't require it and almost all gory games are 13+. Plus, Roblox barely enforces their rules in general. They have a policy against gambling, however games such as Robot 64 (a game considered "peak" by a lot of people) has actual lootboxes in it. Only game I remember changing because of the policy was The Plaza.

I have to agree. AI is amazing for figuring out ideas, and using those ideas to make cool shit. I think for animation, AI could be used as a good storyboarding tool, as it removes some of the work needed for that. Hell Ruben doesn't even use the AI art by itself, he still does some touch ups to the actual thing to make it look better. Like you said, AI fucks up too much to actually replace artists. If twitter artists care so much about stolen art, ask the companies to include every single art piece the AI used to create the thing. Boom, credit is given. Hell if that's the case, I'd feel like artists would get more commissions that way because more people will want art that doesn't have as many faults in it as AI does. Plus, isn't everything made by humans somewhat based on another piece of media or an experience a creator had? Then again, I feel like most Twitter artists want to be put on a fucking pedestal. You make art, that's nice, but you aren't entitled to anything. You deserve recognition of your work yes, but complaining about it isn't gonna make you famous. It'll just put you in the boat of annoying Twitter artists.

I find it so funny that you have all these Xitter artists complaining that AI is "stealing" their art as if artists don't remix each other all the time.

I don't think most of these people care about art, it's just they know that their shitty ms paint drawings are the only thing they can pretend is a "career choice" in their life and when that's threatened they're obviously gonna be upset. They're not angry because they think AI is the death of art, they're angry because AI is the end of their larping and they might have to find a real job once it replaces them.

It is literally this image. Once again, the engineering nerds have won, and if the twitter artists are going to keep complaining about this shit, I may change my opinion on Python being a soydev language.

As an fellow drawfag
I hate the trend of them making videos on picking pencil up as if drawing shitty trends 24/7 is artistic pursuit
Actually i think art ai should advance further to filter out faggots and tumblrinas and force them to study old masters.

Btw is it possible to feed ai gone gooning's thumbnail art with tylers art? Is there a way we can give ai their art so we can make ai generated thumbnails using their art style

I think people on Twitter has no idea how useful having art assets generate on demand at even mediocre quality can be seen as useful for people who wants to make a career in YouTube.

Most AI utilization are used by people who are already dedicated in improving their craft in something else. Like a writer using an eye catching cover for their story, or an animator using AI voices to a video. Arguably this is why people say AI art is democritizing.

its like each time Ruben sim has an opinion on something people has to be the opposite to try and own him.
Zoomers are so braindead they can't fathom agreeing with someone they dislike. They think that if they even dare to slightly agree with Ruben they'll be just as bad as he is. This is what makes them defend pedophiles, zoophiles and degenerates of all sorts because they'd rather agree with the "oppressed" degenerate than the person opposed to their sex pest actions. They did this to Ruben when they pulled out that screenshot of him being "transphobic" to a tranny and defended them, when said tranny was a fucking pedophile. Like, their entire reasoning for hating Ruben is because he's trying to get degenerates like them off a children's game.
The truth is, is that AI will never replace humans
AI is still flawed in a lot of ways. Even with how far it's come in the span of a year or two it still fucks up text, hands, shadows, clouds/grass, textures, etc. AI art isn't as bad as people think it is, it could never replace comic book writers or traditional painters for example, it's just fear mongering because people worry about having their work stolen. The faggot that's complaining about his art being "stolen" is laughable when no one would buy that shit, let alone steal it. Anything to appear as a victim.

While the thread is discussing about it, I want to speak my piece regarding the topic of AI vs artists.

Bad artists seethe because AI has raised the bar regarding quality.
Good Artists do not give a shit because the ability to draw anything is still euphoric.

Hear ye hear ye mediocre xitter artists, ye're days of bitching and moaning due to the inept inability to draw hands have finally caught up. Time to learn your fundamentals and get out of your comfort zone for once ye buncha fucking hacks.
