Why RBR signed Checo for next year when Carlos is available... that just boggles the mind. Especially as Checo and those sweet Carlos Slim pesos would be a huge help to the likes of Haas or Williams, so it's not like Checo wouldn't get a drive.

The only halfway logical explanation is that RBR doesn't want a second driver who may come close to upstaging Max. Or more likely Helmut and Christian don't want Jos pissing in their ears about how they've done his boy dirty by giving him real competition from within the team. But then RBR could just call Yuki up to the big boys' team and achieve a similar result.

Checo was on the team Horner during the Hornygate + boost the sale in South america. Mateschitz death and its consequence has been a disaster.

Also Antonelli win , the comeback is on + Bearman getting Mechachormed. F2 moment

Hilarious how hard the sky commentators cumming everytime Max looked to be having trouble. Like how they were so certain he was fucked in Q1 despite having another lap to go, or "ooh he's doing badly in Q2" when he'd gone .3 seconds faster than needed to go through in sector 1. Meanwhile they totally missed Charles struggling until he was confirmed out.

Sky is always terrible, but even the F1TV commentators couldn't contain their excitement when "all" the British drivers qualified in the top three (poor Albon was forgotten; if he doesn't count then Norris is Belgian and Hamilton is Grenadian). They don't even try to pretend to be neutral anymore.

That's why I watched the Italian commentary when LordLatifiStreams (RIP) had it.
Hopefully the new streaming sites that have popped up offer non-English speaking F1 feeds.

Hornjere stated "We thought the new contract would stabilize Checo" Well looks like it made it worse and they apparently give Lawson now practice time. Imagine that: instead of putting Tsunoda or even Ricciardo into the second car they hire another rookie who made some strong shwoings but has no full experience. Then again I am not a team bnoss so what do I know?

I am waiting for September. Imagine if Newey really says "Yup I am working for Aston come summer 2025. The LH cult meltdown would be glorious

Even with 3 Brits in the top 3 Sky are still all in on hambone winning.

I always think Silverstone is a boring track, there are just no proper braking zones for a real overtake. They just field spread and follow eachother round.
