I don't know enough about either Yoko Ono or Amber Heard to know if they deserve to be defended and I'm happy to remain in ignorance. But for Lindsay to make a 2 hour video essay defending Yoko Ono and to use it as a platform to attack a former member of her clique is not only hilarious hypocrisy but demonstrates that she will never be a serious journalist, documentarian or writer. They flipflop pretty hard on Asians. I noticed since the stop Asian hate shit they gained a bit of victimhood back. Yoko is a non-white, an immigrant and a woman so she basically has it made in terms of oppression despite having wealthy parents.

Pretty standard fare for Breadtubers, some of the most spiteful and pettiest bitches around. Just a reminder that she is one the pettiest and spiteful people around, with one of her targets being Ryan Coogler, director of such films like Creed and Black Panther, when they were in film school together.

I wouldn't say Lindsay is unsuccessful, or that Jill is more successful than her per se. Lindsay parlayed tits and pigtails into a successful YouTube career with over a million subscribers, almost 10k paypigs (still!) and a decade of influence. She however wanted success in legacy media and publishing, to be taken seriously as a film critic, documentarian and author. First she was chased off her Hollywood dreams by the realities of the casting couch, then she plateaued as a content creator from audience backlash, and lastly she failed in her passion project of the book trilogy (or attempted pentalogy, whatever) which initially sold well but her blase approach to marketing failed to promote among her core audience. Now that she's a stay at home mom who occasionally makes videos and dabbles in writing, she still has significant influence behind the scenes at Nebula and is well-funded by Patreon as well as Mr. Lindsay's aerospace engineering job. She was and is successful in her field, but was unable to appreciate her success due to her arrogance. Never did she thank her audience for their support, but instead took it for granted. Despite success, respect (in lefty creative circles) and accolades that most creators would actually kill for, she seems almost as miserable as Becky Gerber because nothing is ever good enough. Maybe she'll find the fulfillment she craves as a wife and mother, who knows.

She was and is successful in her field, but was unable to appreciate her success due to her arrogance.

Also, it wasn't the type of success she wanted. She's best when she presents a look back at something without dragging her politics into it, when she just focuses on the work or the event, she's fine. But that's not what she wants to be. She wants to be this intelligent political commentator who can craft a brilliant narrative that highlights the issues of today that we all need to think about. But she can't do that well, she just doesn't have the drive to make a movie, or do multiple drafts of her book beyond a quick rewrite.

Maybe if she directed someone else's script without adding anything to it, she'd make a solid flick, but you just know if she ever got the opportunity she would rewrite it to include some feminist bullshit so she can feel good about herself.
